Just got off the phone to Clode, an offer is going to be sent to a number of customers, she wouldn't say if it was all that had complained or not, and would not say what the offer would contain. Pushed and pushed but no detail. Apparently it's being sent on Sunday by email and also coming out via Snail mail.

just spoke to Nick Davies at Clode, he says that they/Redten will be able to offer the full unlimited broadband service shortly, for those that are not interested they are going to make an offer to opt out. buying there way out of the Clode contract. no more details at present. But this will be in a email and letter on Sunday/Monday

Received reply from Advertising Standards Agency ref my complaint as to Redten still advertising unlimited bandwidth and free upgrade to 24 meg

Unlimited is being investigated but they said free 24 meg upgrade was ok as most people would understand that not every one would get it depending on proximity to exchange, they missed my point (or perhaps Baber Gulzarthat runs the ASA ) NJP have said NO one will get Free upgrade I have pointed this out again

Not that Redten or NJP will give a cuss for them either

Got a strange feeling I have heard that some where before ??

Well the buy out package had better be good, because as I said in a previous post the equipment to buy new from savastore for £140 for the monitor and £130 for the base unit, making an 18 month old system worth around £50 - £75 almost as much as it has cost me to stay online and in touch. Get real Mr Davies if you want a deal make the terms worthwhile. Also why should we have to buy our way out of a contract that has already been breached by Redten?

The opposite, they said some people, I pushed and asked if that was all that complained, and she was a bit evasive but said a certain number.

So don't know what their criteria is for this.

They are now saying that my line was terminated as that's what I requested.

What I actually said was that due to a number of Breaches of Contract I wanted my contract terminated with no financial penalty, copied to both Clode and Redten.
I don't call buying out my contract no financial penalty.

Just reminded Mr Davies of this email, as he was copied on it,
give him his due he did reply immediately, but said his position had no changed and wait for the offer.

"Redten designs and manufacturers innovative touch-screen computers for niche markets. We endeavour to think, outside the box and develop truly unique, high-quality products."

I just came across this ad of Redtens, thinking outside of the box is an understatement, more like thinking outside of the planet, and I have to admit their products are unique, why has no one ever thought of stitching up customers and then ignoring them if they get a little piqued? Has to be a unique selling point in my book. Still I do like a good giggle, I notice in their testimonial pages they havn't placed any of our posts to them!!!!
