    I had an email advising me to back up my email otherwise I would lose it...

    Just hope that email addresses dont change when the new provider takes over, now THAT would be a real pain

    I decide to speak to someone called James at Ofcom 020 7981 3040
    He was aware of Redten's inability to provide a service.
    He suggested that I take independent legal advice with regard to the contract.

    I mentioned the MAC number I got from the BT Wholesale website.
    So he gave me BT Wholesales number : 0800 169 0934
    Hee I spoke to someone called Martin. He said that my MAC code had been used! I did not know that someone else could use my MAC code.
    He also said that there is a migration taking place on 18th to
    MURPHX INNOVATIVE SOLUTIONS https://www.murphx.com .

    So I rang murphx, 08700 349 100, spoke to Heather who was extremely reluctant to say anything, only that I should speak to Redten. She could not even confirm that I was goingto be connected to them, only speak to Redten.

    So I rang Ofcom again, apparantly using one's MAC code is called 'slamming' and the guy at Ofcom said I could switch to any provider I want. He did mention that I should check my T+Cs of the contract, as I may be still liable for the remaining part of the contract.

    I'll try to speak to Redten.

    I have spoken to Clode this afternoon. Did not get much more that has not already been said here, except next week the MD of Clode is having a meeting with Redten. Also Nicola Dobson who is meant to be dealing with this lot is not in today. Maybe she got a head ache.

    Could we get a list of all the good numbers for the different people we are talking to as well.

    Odd that you say Nicola isnt in as that is the one email read receipt I got today.. Still not had a reply to my fax OR my email yet.

    Im really getting fed up with this now - its the lack of "official" information that is causing me the bother. Why doesnt someone step up to the plate and say what the situation is, warts and all.

    I have sent as much info as possible to watchdog, never done anything like this before. Then again never been in a situation like this either. I will get in touch with NJP Services agaian as there is a lot of different information coming out from what I was told this morning. They have also not called me back as promised with the details for payment. Something seems very familar about this (Tarqi all over again). Sorry couldn't help that one.
