Come on you guys and gals, Clode are taking the long term approach, I certainly think that deadten are on there way out (there's no way they could survive this)? We should now let Clode chase us for the service (money) that we should be providing to them! To some extent I have sympathy with Clode as a business - but they should have known the risks of getting involved with deadten and we as customers should not bear their mistakes. We all signed up with good faith, the service we had was up to scratch until the 10th March for the majority of us!
Deadten and Clode are most definatley in breach of contract by any standard of law, so for us to stop payments to them is I feel the only way Clode are going to listen to us, though I don't think they can resolve the situation - I wish them luck. And when they do I will be quite happy to pay them.

We clearly still have a few optimists remaining...............by now everyone should have had their own personal experience of both redten and clode being very economical with the truth to the point where they lie.......once a company breaches faith in such a fundamental manner there is no way back.
Both these companies will have significantly more experience of small claims cases than any of us appear to, by definition this makes most of us reluctant to advance with this course of action if there is even the remotest possibility that an amicable solution can be found.......this is what clode are banking on........the longer they can string us along, the better the chance of picking us off, one at a time.
As has been previously pointed out clode are not likely to chase redten for the money they owe because there's nothing there except a paper chase. Rather they are spending all this time we've given them,by observing the due legal process, to regroup, ask their very well paid solicitors and accountants to come up with a solution which allows them to minimise their losses. That's where we come in, I suspect they will try a similar approach to redten; start by charging a £200 "restocking" fee......some will bite.....some will not......then drop it to £150.....some more will bite...... and so on until they get to £20 "admin charge"...only the very determined will take this to court and they will know this from previous experience.
Hold your nerve:beer:
Don't trust anything that clode say unless it's in writing and signed. This is the way companys' usually communicate with their customers.......personally,honourably and with respect.

Problem is I have paid them up until Feb 2010! The service was good for me up until 10th March. I just want the service back. I will argue over it's quality and duration when and if it is restored!0 -
I'm still not sure where we stand with our credit ratings - I've got a feeling that they can just blacklist us at will and it is even more hard work to get it rectified.Beware the character seeking personal gain masquerading as a moral crusader.

Hi all,
Today I recieved two emails, one from Scott Colvey at PCPro watchdog. Has anyone else got a reply as I know a few of us contacted them to look in to this mess.
The second one was from OFCOM. This is the information about the complaits against REDTEN. They said I will get this in 20 days. Hopefully it will show the size of the problem and what is being done.
Also welcome to the new users on the forum.
I got the mail from Scott at PCpro today :cool:0 -
Ned and all others, they cannot affect our credit rating until they prove that we have breached the contract!!! And we all know that deadten and clode have done this already!!!! If they cannot restore what we had before or very simular - then no court in the land could could argue that we have breached the contract!!!!
I stand by the fact that I will pay clode no more, because I am not getting the service I agreed to and when and if they restore the service I will be quite happy to fullfil my part of the contract!!!!

I agree with everybody0

My point is that whether it's lawful or not, they can literally contact the credit reference agencies without going to court 1st. They don't seem to be paying any heed to their legal obligations so far and I don't think would be any different.
Once it's on there, it will be a !!!!!! to shift. You would then need to take them to court to get it removed.
I think that's their greatest line of attack/defence in this whole fiasco.Beware the character seeking personal gain masquerading as a moral crusader.

Ned
after speaking to my free legal advice from my bank they assure me that it is not straight forward
to put a black mark on you they have to prove that you are in breech of the terms of the provision
however if the provision is no longer there how can you breech it
I really do think that this has gone on too long we have had no coherent response to our individual gripes
I feel so sorry for those who paid upfront as these i feel have no chance
i would be more than happy to send the next few months payments to these paople to help soften the blow for them
The whole thing is a shambles it seems we have to look after ourselves and help others in a worse position
We all have our own personel credit crunch problems and redten have just taken the pi** out of us all (clode havnt helped matters either)0
