Well I'm sure I'll get a letter very quick this week as I did last month, telling me I had missed a payment!!! I did pay last month by debit card and they even had the nerve to charge me a debit card fee!!! Well they had their 7 day notice on the 11th of this month about withholding payment and keeping in a seperate account until the service is restored.
Let's hope they've got a 1st class stamp!!!

The thing to remember is that we are dealing in 'Clode' time. What was said to be a letter on our doorstep today probably means typed 2 days ago, posted 2nd class in 2 days time and with us in 7 days. At least that's what my experiences have been from any other correspondence sent by them.

It is obvious that they are LYING, and there will be NO LETTER from Clode anytime soon, so i am just waiting for the deadline to finish and then i will start to ignor them as they ignored me.If they can't provide what i am paying for then i will not pay anything anymore. I think its fair...0 -
Hi all,
Today I recieved two emails, one from Scott Colvey at PCPro watchdog. Has anyone else got a reply as I know a few of us contacted them to look in to this mess.
The second one was from OFCOM. This is the information about the complaits against REDTEN. They said I will get this in 20 days. Hopefully it will show the size of the problem and what is being done.
Also welcome to the new users on the forum.Ron.

Thank you for your enquiry to this Service, which has been received from my colleagues at Consumer Direct. I am sorry to hear of the problems that you have experienced with the broadband service received from Redten Communications Ltd. If I may offer the following advice.
When you enter into a contract with a company for the provision of a service, you are making a legally binding contract with the supplier of that service. A contract for the provision of a service is dealt with under the Supply of Goods and Services Act 1982 (as amended). This Act states that the service should be provided with reasonable care and skill on the part of the trader and to your satisfaction as the customer.
The contract would also be subject to the terms and conditions of the agreement that you have made with the supplier. These terms and conditions are likely to lay down what is expected of the service and your entitlements as the customer. It may also state what happens in the event of a service failure, or changes to that Service. I can only advise that you read your contract in full to determine what your entitlement is.
I would expect clauses which permit the supplier to change the service and contract, providing that they write to you and let you know in advance of this change. Clearly, if the changes to the service are so radical as to not reflect the service you originally contracted for, then I would argue that the company are in breach of contract. The remedy is that either the service is provided as initially requested, or the contract is cancelled.
I would advise that you write to the company and put these points to them. If they fail to respond then you would have to sue them for breach of contract through the small claims track of the County Court.
I do hope that this information is of use to you.
Yours sincerely
