Surely the quickest way for Clode to contact the customers concerned is for everyone to cancel their DD (put the money aside if you like, just in case).

I'm pretty sure that if 130 customers stop Clode payment of £19.99 that's £26K (approx / month) Clode/RedTen will soon get off their respective a**es and contact customers.

I fail to see why we are all spending loads of time/money trying to contact these fools, when we have the perfect bargaining tool.....money. It's something RedTen are relying on, us paying every month.
If we stop paying them, then it's pretty likely they'll go bankrupt sooner.:j

They will simply sell the the debt to dept collection agencies and blacklist your credit rating - not a good idea!

They have to contact the customer first and try to some kind of resolution, they cant just sell the debt on straight away, as far as i'm concerned though if they do sell the debt on there are only two main debt collection agencies in our area so it can be "lost" for me as for one of them the area manager is my cousin, and the other the local baillif/debt collector is another cousin! So i'm sure I could swing it so as we are "no longer at this address".

As far as an adverse effect on my credit rating, well I had initial doubts about clode and their competency at the begining as we (my partner and I) both have exceedingly poor credit ratings and couldnt even get catalogue credit in an attempt to build our credit rating, the reason we couldnt get credit is because we have no credit history so for a company to give us credit to the tune of several hundred when we where both on benefits was a complete shock!

Like me, I wasn't transferred over so my MAC worked, but still have to get out of the Clode contract.

So far I've sent letters etc No Response. So I've cancelled my DD, I'll wait to see if they contact me.

Could be use of the MAC if the one provided by BT garden prior to the mass migration and waiting to get MAC from Redten when they failed to transfer you is the difference ?
    Who cares ??

Hello To All Fellow Sufferers Under Contract To Redten/clode . I Just Wanted To Introduce Myself To This Forum As I Am Stuck In The Same Position , Having Been Signed To Redten Since Nov. 2006 . I Have Sent Recorded Letters To Redten/clode And Also B.t For My M.a.c Code . No Progress Has Been Made . The Only Reason I Have Not Cancelled My Direct Debit Is I Am Concerned About Damage To My Credit Rating . Has Anyone Dared To Cancel Theirs , Having Informed Clode Of Their Intention To Do So First ? Also , Has Anyone Managed To Get Back Into Their Original E-mail Accounts ?

    Hi

If you go in to the NJP Page you can re create your redten email accounts and you start to see you mail coming in to the mailbox again. The webmail facility is gone so no point in trying that

    Cheers

130 * 19.99 = £2598.97 per month. Depending on the size of Clode's business, not necessarily peanuts, but not exactly as powerful a bargaining tool as £26,000. In any case, I (and at least one other person who has posted here) have yet to pay Clode anything - I've never had my computer delivered, and because my order wasn't complete, they haven't started charging me.

While I was posting that previous post, an email from Clode (customerrelations@cloderetailfinance.com) came in to confirm the cancellation of my finance agreement! Obviously, having not received the computer, I'm in a bit of a different position from most of you, but I do hope that this is a positive sign for you all. If nothing else, it is an individual response to a specific customer from Clode, rather than another standard mail.

thanks redflake for your help . unfortunately , the login page for njp wont accept the details provided to me by njp ! any ideas ? many thanks
Sorry if you've posted this already but have you ever received a letter with your new logon details? I didn't and it turned out I was never actually transferred (thanks Redten!) to NJP.

I confirmed this by phoning NJP on 0870 225 1058. Basically they asked me for my broadband phone number. When they couldn't find me on their system they tried using my postcode then by name. Nada. "Sorry, but you've not been transferred to us. Talk to Redten" was all they could say. If you've never had the logon details letter then I'd suggest you do the same.
