Hi folks,
Just to give you an update we're going to write more details soon.
We've been talking to Ofcom, Trading Standards, and trying to talk to Redten and the finance company itself. Sadly we're hitting brick walls with people refusing to talk.
We're also discussing with Computer Active magazine who are working on this too - to try and come up with some solutions. Of course reporting to local trading standards is an important action.
We are trying to help on this. But I have limited weight, Redten is a product we've never mentioned or included and its normally with the companies that have been included e.g. a TalkTalk when there are problems that I have weight.
Frankly this is proving very difficult. We are trying - though in the times of the credit crunch - I've limited editorial resources on this. MSE is primarily about getting the right deals in the first place; and while we do try and help, this unfortuantley can't be a huge priority for resources at the moment.
We will continue to keep trying though and am discussing at the moment various ways we can help or allow people to organise.
Sorry to not bring more positive news.

Can we stop all this point scoring now and get on with helping each other work contructively towards our common goal?
It didn't really get us anywhere did it?

Lets get on with the business of trying to get Redten/Clode to cancel our contracts.
As redten won't talk to us, Clode are the only way forward as far as I see. Keep piling the pressure on them.0 -

Like me, I wasn't transferred over so my MAC worked, but still have to get out of the Clode contract.
So far I've sent letters etc No Response. So I've cancelled my DD, I'll wait to see if they contact me.0
