2 questions, don't know if anyone can help -
1/ Has anyone had problems with Clode accepting recorded delivery mail Posted last Friday 10/4 and still not showing up as delivered on Royal Mails tracking service. Redten accepted and sign for their letter at the 23 CASTALIA SQUAREDOCKLANDS address.
2/What day is the 15gb download limit up, I've been as careful as I can and if I've got any bandwidth left on the last day I need to upload some photos to Flickr.- Pretty sure its calendar month so next start 1 st May unless Redten have introduced the 90 day month
Who cares ??0 -
I sent my last recorded delivery letter to clode on 2 Apr and it was delivered on 17th.
I have rejected any change to the terms and conditions that deadpan have offered me without allowing 30 days consideration and the option to terminate, and I gave them 30 days to restore the service I originally agreed to when I signed their finance agreement.
As I don't expect redpun to come up with anything better than we are already getting, I feel I have to allow clode some time to find another supplier before I sue them, which is more consideration than we got from dreadone.
Mind you, I am not really expecting much from clode either. They have obviously made a huge error with deadpen, believing they were financing the "free" computer rather than the broadband connection service, and now they are struggling, because as long as we all continue to make our payments and demand the service we agreed to in return, they are in a legally binding contract fix and the only reasonable way out will be for Clode to release us and go after deadone themselves.
The clock is ticking and the pressure is building. This won't last much longer because in another week or two, those who first sent in written complaints will have waited a reasonable amount of time and will be justified in pursuing legal redress.
Of course I could eat my words next week if the expected new offer appears, but as I have said earlier, I cannot see how they can improve upon their current offering without asking US to pay more money. I just hope they do as it will be the final incontrovertible proof that they have changed the terms to our material detriment. After all, you can't get much more detrimental than asking somebody to pay again for something they have already bought.0 -

NB Mr. Gulzar, I don't download illegal files or pirate software. One of the reasons I signed up to Redten was the unlimited downloads as I use Flickr to share photographs with friends/relatives. At 2-3mb per photo I've not been unable to use the internet like I want to.
Anyone know what happens when we reach the limit? Are we throttled back to sub dial-up speed? In a recent letter from Clode (or is it Clueless!) they stated that -
"15gb per month will prove more than sufficient for the vast majority of users" and to contact Redten if this "adversely affects your useage"
Yea right! I'll just phone them up and ask for more bandwidth., fat chance.0 -
So, just to recap, am I right in thinking that thus far:
1. Nobody has any written reply from Clode which addresses the issues raised
2. Nobody has got a Clode finance agreement revoked unless they weren't switched over or didn't receive the hardware &
3. The relevant Government consumer protection bodies seem to be powerless to do anything to help?
Also, has anyone started legal proceedings and if so, small claims or high court?Beware the character seeking personal gain masquerading as a moral crusader.

To my knowledge we're all playing the waiting game.
Just received the second clode standard unsigned letter,I'm sure there will be more....every so often.......just so it appears they're trying to do something.
My final round of recorded deliveries out today.......I'm still 10 days away from "reasonably" being able to sue, unless of course clode decide to send another standard letter with, perhaps, the slightest suggestion that they might have a "meeting" with each other to try to resolve my complaint. Every communication I've had with clode or redten they have sought to delay.
We are dealing with very slippery operators here and I'm certainly not going to underestimate them.:p:pfirstclassidiot wrote: »If you wish I will post the full letters for anyone who might want some indication of what others have written. I sent the letters to Mr Shiraz Jessa, Chief Executive of redten group, and the MD of Clode.
I may have misunderstood this earlier post(yes I have read them all  ) could you clarify FCI :beer:0 -
