Thanks for all your help Benji. You latched on to Redten from the very beginning and never let go. It was your ceasless hounding of them that got you into direct contact with the manager and, I'm guessing, the "Ship's Captain". You've passed on info which I'm sure you had your own personal doubts about but shared it none the less.

While I was posting that previous post, an email from Clode (customerrelations@cloderetailfinance.com) came in to confirm the cancellation of my finance agreement! Obviously, having not received the computer, I'm in a bit of a different position from most of you, but I do hope that this is a positive sign for you all. If nothing else, it is an individual response to a specific customer from Clode, rather than another standard mail.

I wouldn't advise anyone to "hang around" waiting to see if a deal materialises - I personally won't be interested in it even if it does finally appear (which I'm not convinced will happen anyway).

Send your recorded letters, give them fair warning, then commence legal action. If you do eventually decide not to press ahead and take a deal if they offer one, you have the choice to do that, but at least you're in a position to take it further if needed. Sitting back and waiting does you no favours whatsoever.

My second and final warning was signed for by both Redten and Clode yesterday - if I don't get a satisfactory result in seven days from then I'm stopping my payments and notifying them accordingly. If they try to affect my credit score I'll simply add that to my case in court.

Don't give up people - we're not in the wrong here, and they know it too.

Endless unaswered phone calls to REDTEN. Stopped calling pointless exersice.
Endless phone calls to CLODE. Waste of time their happy to ignore me.
Few calls to NJP. A good service and help but nothing else.
Registard letter to REDTEN and copies to CLODE and NLP. Nothing back again.

NO LETTERS OR EMAIL FROM ANYONE ABOVE AS TO RECONNECT TO THE SERVICE. This forum was my tech support for that.

Complaints made to consumer direct now passed on to trading standards.
Complaints to OFCOM. Call them back in 3 days for update.
Information given to above includes letters and email plus Mr Gulzars number and email address.

Yes I managed to call and talk to the man!! Promised me a call back and surprise surprise no call.

All information has also been handed to the Reading Chronicle, PCPRO and Computer active.

This is the everything I have done to date. I am now releying on the authorities to sort this out.

A big thankyou to all who have helped me out on this matter but this is starting to affect my home life with my familiy. I will keep up the pressure as much as I can and keep an eye on this forum ONLY.

    Good luck to all:T

Yes, am finding that a challenge at the moment...

I feel I'm at least making some progress, though.
  • Having followed this saga when I have been able to load the page, I would like to let you know the steps I have taken.
I have phoned emailed Redten on an assortment of numbers all to no avail. I then wrote (Recorded delivery )to Redten charging them with breach of contract and as such I would withhold payments and possibly seek compensation for the downtime I have suffered.
I then started on Clode with the same phone and email them with the same result I then sent them a recorded delivery letter only to find out the redirected the letter to an address unknown it has yet to be delivered (posted on 14th April)

    Nice and quiet today then...

What a difference it makes without miss-information.

I'm not going to post again until I've seen my letter next week. I've done all I can by complaining to clode (the only people who seem to listen or at the very least give some sort of official response)

Im sure there will be plenty to say when they make their offer.... If they even are going to make one that is...

    Hae a good weekend folks!

2 questions, don't know if anyone can help -

1/ Has anyone had problems with Clode accepting recorded delivery mail Posted last Friday 10/4 and still not showing up as delivered on Royal Mails tracking service. Redten accepted and sign for their letter at the 23 CASTALIA SQUAREDOCKLANDS address.

2/What day is the 15gb download limit up, I've been as careful as I can and if I've got any bandwidth left on the last day I need to upload some photos to Flickr.
