Ok so I just thought I'd keep you guys informed of my plight with Deadten. Over one month ago, like the rest of you, I lost internet connection and it has taken me this long to finally get some service back - now with Orange (finally).

After one week of waiting to be reconnected (or something to happen with Redten as the only information I had was from here, nothing at all from them) I gave up and asked Orange to register me. They informed me a PSTN (or something) freeze was on my line and couldn't do anything until line was clear which would happen on 2nd April. So, 2nd of April came and I registered for Orange broadband, however there were more problems there, but the short of it is, I'm finally back online at full speed (and hopefully unlimited) with Orange now and have sent off letters to Clode and Redten detailing that they never contacted me and THEY cleared my line of all service and I never did anything but wait (and hope) to be transferred to the new 'backbone' which never happened.

I'm really !!!!ed off that this has happened and that I've been without broadband for over a month with absolutely no word at all, I've been completely in the dark. I am going to really fight this one as they are the ones that cancelled the contract in my eyes by clearing my line - and yet my direct debit is still going out!!

Glad to see that Martin has replied to us lowly souls and I appreciate anything that you can help us out with, if we can get some sort of high profile campaign going we might finally get some leeway with Redten/Clode if their names are splashed about some more..

my only opption now is to stop the dd
its sad that its come to that because we have been treated like fools

Are there any of you out there who, like me have received just one letter from Redten/NJP Services? That was only an assumption that I new Redten were in deep doodoos and dated 12/3/08. Since then I have had absolutely nothing, a good way to run a business I suppose

I just wonder how many Readten victims are out there who don't know about this forum topic I would guess that for every one who has posted on this topic there are probably hundreds who know nothing about it, pity we cant inform them ?

OK Redten, you have obviously cut off my line now, I don't even get the DSL bearer status any more, if that's the case is that an admission that you are cancelling the contract, would be nice if you let me know. Not sure if this is to try and take Deadten off the air, it won't help as it's hosted by elsewhere, and I still have access to the net via other means. Any body else been cut off.
