I have taken the time to read your earlier post on pages 17 -20 benji you were one of the first to come online on this matter and you had your reservations about the BT message but felt strongly that the message would not have been put up unless there was good cause as it would be very missleading causing people to migrate and cancel DDs forcing redten out off business
do you feel BT were justified putting the message up ?0 -

Benji was one of the people who were not transferred over from BT. As such, he suffered a total loss of service, which allowed him to be released from both contracts (Redten and Clode). Since then, he has had regular contact with Babar Gulzar, who has basically been giving Benji imformation to post here. I think what Benji is doing is not helping you guys, as it's giving Redten the opportunity to cause dissention and arguments amongst you (and whilst you're fighting among each other, you're losing focus of the real culpits in all of this). There is no guarantee that the info being fed to Benji will amount to anything, after all, you've not heard it from them. That's not to say that Benji is lying. I believe he is being told these things, but not necessarily for the benefit of customers. Benji, I believe, is merely being used as a pawn.
Benji, I know you're trying to help, but I think now is the time to take a back seat and leave it to the remaining customers. Stop giving Gulzar and Redten the ability to speak to their customer base without actually speaking to them directly. The only way the customers stand a chance of getting anywhere quickly with Redten is if you stop being a mouth-piece for Gulzar. Benji, you are being used to pass on misinformation.
I could not have said it better, I too think Benji is being used along with others to cause dissent, we all know the adage divide and rule, I personally think like you that RT can sound out feeling on proposals this way without being liable in any future court case for what has been posted, they will just deny ever having said anything.
Sorry Benji there is nothing personal in my post here, but ever since your announcement the other day the forum has lost a lot of it's focus, by all means tell us what you learn, but let us all not get drawn into fighting amongst ourselves.

Benjimoron, I hope you don't take offence to this? but why are you the go between for a company like redten and it's customer base, are redten not big enough to speak for themselves? - I don't even know who you are? Are you best friends? Do you know him on a personal basis? Redten deserve to go bust and the quicker the better!!!!! I run my own business, and yes I make a cockup from time to time (thats human) but I always speak with my customers cos without them I'm on the dole!!!!
What has happened since the 10th March is complete codswallop - 2 businesses trying to survive!!!!
I joined redten at the time because I thought I could promote it to my customers, the one I did promote it too never got his pc - thankfully I never promoted it to anyone else!0 -

I believe that you are better off with the info than without. As long as you bare in mind that I can't guarentee any of it then you are better off with the info.
If you don't want me to post any info I receive then just don't read it. No-one is forcing you to.
i dont see how i am better off with information that is not accurate, relevant or guaranteed. what i want is an end to my contract, i stuck to my part of the agreement redten/clode have not. i dont want a deal, i want my mac code and to be rid of this whole sorry mess, and you need to take note that my posts are not a personal insult to you. just frustrated that the people giving you this cant face us and be honest0 -

MSE contacted me, I replied, they didn't reply back.
Therefore they have been in contact with me but haven't followed it through.
I know if I was an MSE bod, I'd rather go straight to Redten, rather than go through an ex customer.
Benji, you don't know what's been going on behind the scenes. Believe it or not, I doubt very much that MSE staff feel the need to keep one ex-customer informed about the plight of those current customers. Archie's already posted what she's done...and none it required help from you. Just because they chose not to contact you again, doesn't mean they aren't doing anything. You have no power of influence, Benji, no matter how much you'd like to think you do. You can't cancel these people's contracts, or give them unlimited broadband. Only Redten can sort this out...you don't work for Redten. Please back off now, and let the remaining customers sort this out directly with Gulzar and Redten. You are actually causing a hindrance now.In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?

Yes. I feel the part about the mac codes was a little mis-leading though.
At the time I don't think I thought the information was all correct. I now assume that it was correct.0 -
If you can't guarentee it as being true or that it is liable to happen then it is worthless miss-information.
i'm a little torn on this, but agree that in the absence of any hard facts this possible miss-information is delaying some of us from doing the neccessary letter writing/complaining that will probably be the eventual way out of this mess.
let's press on regardless, if any of the info coming through benji becomes reality we can always cancel our complaints. though most of us won't even entertain the idea of the deal benji spoke of, so it's largely irrelevant anyway.0 -
benjimoron wrote: »Ron, did they tell you 2mb, not 24mb?
According to NJP it's limited,
According to Redten it's not.
We'll just have to wait and see, don't think they're in breach of contract yet tho so would be careful with cancelling. Wait until we're on the service that is limited then you should be able to cancel as they would've breached the contract.
your post dated the 13th march i feel makes our position very clear benji if anybody has any doubts this should clear them
i feel your other posts around this date were optimitic benji your glass is half full and ours are half empty0 -

MSE have failed to get through to Redten. FACT.
"Believe it or not, I doubt very much that MSE staff feel the need to keep one ex-customer informed about the plight of those current customers."
I'm not asking to be kept informed. I offered to help and they haven't followed it up, I didn't say that they had to but people asked for an update, nothing was forthcoming from MSE so I posted what I knew.

I never claimed to have any power of influence, I have suggested things that I think would benefit the customers but as I've already posted. I can't guarentee for them to happen but I believe that people are in a better position if they have information available. If they don't believe it then they can choose not to read it. I'm not forcing it on anyone.
"Please back off now, and let the remaining customers sort this out directly with Gulzar and Redten. You are actually causing a hindrance now."
Are you or have you ever been a Redten customer? The only hindrance is that people are choosing to argue with me rather than complete the steps needed to sort this situation out.0 -

I really don't understand what you're trying to say, could you clarify at all?0
