Let's face it - nobody know's who anyone is on this forum and to me the main point of posting info is what people have received via the post, mail or telephone calls. I maybe wrong (Benji) but I would certainly not be having any contact with the MD of Redten as an x customer treated the way you were and as we are being treated. At the end of the day Redten are a business, like Clode and a lot of money is riding on the outcome of this! In my opinion Redten need to get the customer base moved to another supplier that may deem to be acceptable to most of us to satisfy whatever arrangement they may have undertook with Clode. I swopped my service from day 1, I cancelled my DD - but paid last month manually, I informed Clode via email on the 11th April that unless the service I paid for was reinstated within 7 days then I shall make no further payment other than to a holding account and let them take me to court. I don't see any reason why I should waste any more time, effort or cost on this.

[FONT=Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif]Dear Sir
Following on from your recent complaint and further to our previous note of 1st April 2008 you will now have been fully connected to the new Broadband service provided under your Redten agreement by NJP services.
We understand and appreciate the difficulties you will have experienced during the transfer of service from BT to NJP services and can only apologise again on behalf of Redten.
You will note that the NJP supplied broadband service is currently limited to a maximum 15GB download limit per month which differs from the previously supplied ‘unlimited’ facility provided under the BT service.
We understand from Redten that this is a temporary measure introduced whilst they evaluate the recent industry concerns around illegal downloads of various forms of copyrighted media.
It is currently unclear what responsibility ISP’s have in relation to the illegal downloading of these type and they are seeking OFCOM guidance on this matter.
The 15GB per month limit will prove more than sufficient for the vast majority of users however if you feel that this will adversely affect your usage we would ask that you contact Redten as soon as possible to discuss your needs.
We now consider this matter resolved however you can be assured that we will continue to monitor your service to try to avoid any future problems of this type arising again.
Regards
Customer Services

Benji had his agreements cancelled three weeks ago yet he has more to say from redten than they do themselves. why is this? why cant redten deal with us the customers that are still trying to contact them? why cant ofcom get hold of redten? and as i have stated before why is it that redten can talk to an ex customer and not us?
Rebellion, I can't answer any of these questions. I doubt very much whether Benji can either. My guess is because he has been a massive pain in Gulzar's ar*e from day one of this fiasco. I assume that some of his contact has been at the price of non-disclosure at times and IIRC Benji has more or less said this although I've not trawled through all of his posts to check.
Lets concentrate on the questions we'd all like answered:
1) When can customers who wish to migrate get a MAC?
2) When can the rest of us cancel our contracts and get out of the finance deal?
3) When do we get compensation for all the calls/letters etc incurred while sorting out this mess.0 -

If the insinuation here is that Benji is a Redten plant or "stool pigeon" as Tooconfused puts it, a quick look at his public profile would indicate he has been a regular poster on MSE since July 2006.0 -
Sorry cant look back that far my connection is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO SLOOOOOOOOOOOWWWWWWWWW
Hey Lighten up take the broom from up yer *ss0 -
OK let's stop the back biting it's getting us nowhere, we all know Redten are in the wrong and aren't talking to anyone, Benji is trying to help with info and thanks for that.
as handyandyg points out no one knows who is who on the forum. BUT I know some
this much I can say
Benjimoron = Good guy on our side
ShipsCaptain = Baber Gulzar
If you don't believe me check his posts #3788 is one of them, the rest are similar

In my opinion, Benji is just trying to do what he thinks is right. I feel he is being used by Redten, but he is unaware of it. Benji was one of the people who were not transferred over from BT. As such, he suffered a total loss of service, which allowed him to be released from both contracts (Redten and Clode). Since then, he has had regular contact with Babar Gulzar, who has basically been giving Benji imformation to post here. I think what Benji is doing is not helping you guys, as it's giving Redten the opportunity to cause dissention and arguments amongst you (and whilst you're fighting among each other, you're losing focus of the real culpits in all of this). There is no guarantee that the info being fed to Benji will amount to anything, after all, you've not heard it from them. That's not to say that Benji is lying. I believe he is being told these things, but not necessarily for the benefit of customers. Benji, I believe, is merely being used as a pawn.
Benji, I know you're trying to help, but I think now is the time to take a back seat and leave it to the remaining customers. Stop giving Gulzar and Redten the ability to speak to their customer base without actually speaking to them directly. The only way the customers stand a chance of getting anywhere quickly with Redten is if you stop being a mouth-piece for Gulzar. Benji, you are being used to pass on misinformation.In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?
It's time to make that change.

If you check back on previous posts have always been appreciative of what benji has done. one thing that is a concern tho is that none of the info has so far really amounted to anything. personally if i was passing info to others i would make sure as practically as possible that it is accurate. i have had enough of the misleading and while i dont think benji is doing the misleading i wont believe anything til it happens.
and all this talk about the info benji has detracts from all the other posters on here that have done so much for us all. maybe we should show them some appreciation.0
