  • Just realised you've quoted RONJK from HUKD, I've asked him to come here so that we can keep all the debate and info in one place to make it easier for everyone.

The 38 users probably selected the other option on the BT Hijack screen to terminate your service thus causing BT to cease the connection immediately..... While others have selected the MAC

I don't even get onto the BT hijack screen any more - I just get the standard "Webpage could not be found" whenever I open a browser. What the hell is going on?

When you spoke to the other company who have taken over did you need to use a refrence number?

Im very worried now - going to try to call finance company, redten and NJP.

They cant use my MAC and transfer me to a worse service so they can stuff it and Im going to Sky.

The lack of information about this is horrendous - we are customers and we should be told what the situation is.

@ben - i dont know if I am one of the 38 as I havent called them yet. Either way its a clear breach of contract and they are finished as far as I am concerned.

Hi to all just moved over from Hotukdeals.

I am trying to get in touch with my new provider Orange to see if the MAC has worked or not. (This is reference to my quote that has been put on this site from Hotukdeals. http://www.hotukdeals.com/item/155634/redten-gone-bust/showthread.php?p=1711767&posted=1#post1711767)

@Ron, good to see you here.

Ive faxed the finance people with my intention to cancel the agreement due to breach of contract by Redten. Asked them to contact me immediately. They havent. Neither have redtren. I think im just gonna move now. Anyone else taken the plunge?
  • Hi,

I've spoken with NJP using the number posted above. You just need to give them your postcode and they'll confirm whether or not they have your details. They have mine and I'm apparently due to be transferred and back online on the 18th.

The guy (who was very helpful by the way) said that it would be an 8Mb service with a 2GB monthly cap (not what we've signed up to I know). As for the finance agreement he thought this would continue and they would get the money via Redten.

With regards to the BT holding page mentioned earlier, I've never seen this, always had the "page can't be displayed" message.

So fingers crossed for the 18th. When I'm back online I'll then look into getting out of this agreement due to breach of contract...

Just spoke to the finance company he said if i was to cancel then i would be due the full amount i explained that i haven't paid anything yet and that i am still waiting on the laptop to arrive he then said as i haven't received all the equipment i ordered then i could cancel and it wouldn't cost anything he didn't sound very convincing though.
He said that i should contact the operations team to explain my situation.
