  • yes i agree these people are human beings and have families to feed but so do we, you were lucky and got a result three weeks ago, the rest of us are still fighting to get answers. and all we are getting are broken promises so im sure you can understand the level of frustration we feel is bound to be higher now than urs was back then. people have had enough. Mr Gulzar promised me a call back last week but it never happened. I like im sure many others on here would appreciate him contacting us regarding this instead of you. we are the ones still paying for something we are not getting.

    So do you feel that the abusive posts are acceptable?

    do you feel its acceptable that people hang up when you call them? that the MD is in contact more with an ex customer instead of the remaining customers?

    i feel that this could have been dealt with much quicker and with less stress if the companies involved actually communicated with us. then people may not have felt the need to express the anger and frustration in this way. where else can people vent the frustration when neither redten or clode seem to be doing anything to sort this mess out.

  • I think we all need to step back a little and cool off a bit. This bickering is not getting us any further forward with resolving the situation to our satisfaction. Benji has made his opinion clear - abusive posts can only harm our case. You can choose to listen to him or disregard what he has to say. He is however, the only person so far who has managed to get Clode to tear up his contract so to me that indicates he knows what he's talking about.

    I called Clode yesterday to find out why they hadn't replied to my letter and why their useless bulk reply letter had gone to my previous address. Their on hold music is even more horrific than Redten's but at least they answered promptly. I explained the situation and pointed out that their letter was inaccurate since I have never been migrated to NJP. I was polite and reasonable and even sympathised that they must be quite busy dealing with all our complaints. The person I spoke to was equally polite and updated my details and explained that they have a team working on all our complaints on a case by case basis and they will respond eventullay. She also told me to give them about a week to respond before calling again.

    Now, this may have all been bullsh*t (the part about a team working on our complaints did sound like she was reeling off a prepared script that she was sick of repeating) but I'll take them at their word of they don't contact me its only more fuel for a case against them for breach of contract.

    Not because I updated people as to what MSE had not done.

    If MSE do get involved it will be a bonus ,,but they don't owe us anything we dont pay for this forum so they could have just locked this thread when it started taking up space on there server or using there bandwidth.

    Personally I wouldn't wait a week, they have had more than enough time, I don't know a single person that has had an indidual response apart from the standard bulk letterrs. If there's a team working on it then surely we should of got a response by now. Set some deadlines on them, hours not days.

    while i agree abusive posts may be harmful my point is that people are fed up of the whole situation and something has to give. some of us dont want deals, some of us have just had enough of the lack of communication and have lost all faith in both companies. No offence to Benji as i appreciate the info. but it still concerns me why an ex customer gets more info than the rest of us.
  • Hi guys now withh talk talk speed up from 1.7meg to 3.5meg Customer Services answer in seconds they cant do enough I think I am in broadband heaven. Told Clode to shove my contract I wasnt paying for something I am not getting. PC packed ready for deadten to collect. direct debit stopped. Online money claim ongoing.

    they have not responded to deadlines in written letters, and they have not followed there own complaints procedure which states

    If we cannot resolve your complaint straight away, then we will
    • Send you a written acknowledgement within 5 working days
    • contact you by telephone within two weeks
    • send you a written update after two weeks
    • contact you by phone between two and four weeks
    • send you a full written update detailing where we are after four weeks
    my first contact with clode was 5 weeks ago and still nothing apart from the stock email

    Cant you see that your close contact with the MD of redten (its quite sweet how you refet to hime as Baber) is likely to wind us up. Whilst I am very grateful for the information you are providing, would it not be more appropriate for you to use your 'connection' with Baber to try and guide some OFFICAL response from redten.

    In your 'frequent' conversations with Baber, have you not stressed this point to him?

    So thanks Benji for the info, but try to bear in mind that because of the position you are in & because you can actually get contact with redten - it could be seen that you are the closest thing to an offical spokeperson that we have and as such you my get a bit of flack from time to time.
