I wouldn't hold your breath waiting for the next offer from Clode. Redten have their backs against the wall. Their business model was highly dependant upon a steady stream of new customers being lured through the door by the promise of free laptops and PC's. As their sources dried up, so did the new customers and the cash rapidly began to run out. Add in the increasing use of bandwidth due to perfectly legal use of file streaming software such as BBC i-player, and you can see that just as their costs began to spiral, their revenue was probably rapidly dwindling. They either had to mortgage the family silver or shaft their customers. Somehow I don't think Clode will be able to persuade them that they no longer need the silver, and I also doubt that Clode are prepared to write off the debt that Redten will owe them if we are all permitted to walk away without penalty. My bet is that they have been pulling yet more fast moves to induce us to stick with them by offering a slightly better service, provided we pay a bit more because without any new money this bird just aint going to fly.

I suspect the family silver will be safe (probably in somebody elses name) as it always is in business. Eventually though something has to give and I suspect this will have to be Clode!!!!

  • It will be interesting to see what Clode come up with next week. Just checked my recorded deliveries to find whilst the one to Gulzar has been accepted, the one to Clode is for some reason being re-directed to a different adress. Anyone else noticed this?

Just got in now to find the joke letter from clode with regards to the piracy issue!!!!!!

Laughed a tincy bit - but not much!!!!!

Hope deadten get guidance soon from Ofcom about this issue???? But of course nobody (not even Ofcom, clode, me, other deadten customers(not for much longer we hope)) can get hold of deadten.

    We are getting there!

Only a matter of time now!

I got the same one. Funny that some folks get these letters a week earlier than others - nice to feel prioritised Clode!

I'll sleep on mine and write my reply tomorrow (and post it here and on Deadten of course!).

Whatever you do remember that the people on the other end of the phone are just human beings trying to earn a living for their family, they didn't choose for this to happen and it's not technically their fault. I can be quite demanding when I phone and I like to get answers out of these people but remember that this is about what their company is providing to us, nothing personal whatsoever so keep things based on fact and about the companies rather than the people and we'll be ok. The calls are probably recorded too so don't resort to name calling as this kind of thing could hurt us in court.

    Ben.

I'd like to draw your attention to a post I made a few weeks ago, before I got my result from Redten and before I was in regular contact with Baber Gulzar.

Some posts recently I feel have overstepped the mark. I am sure you're all angry as was I but remember that these people are human beings and have families to feed etc.

    This being an example.

I suggest that posts like this are removed. I am still here trying to help resolve this issue for people. If people are going to have this attitude then I won't help them. Simple as that.

    Seconded.

Showing frustration (of which I have lots) publicly could be taken as a sign of despair - don't let them get to you. Keep it real people.

I agree with the sentiment but this is enough to make a saint swear, what is more to the point when it comes to earning a living and families etc. Clode don't seem to care about that either as they made Mark Jenkins redundant yesterday, his words not mine......, and who knows maybe others as well, I am sure they are not telling us what is going on within their (dis) - organisation. Sleep well gentlemen, I most certainly shall, tomorrow is another day, and every day that passes does more harm to Clode and Redten than to us.

  • i fully agree with jaypee638 while it is desirable to try to keep things professional the behaviour of clode and especially redten is far from it. Personally if i had a certain mr gulzar stood in front of me i could very well end up in prison, from my point of view its very simple, you can talk about deals til the cows come home all i want is either the service im paying for or to be released without penalty, after all i kept up my end of the deal.

Redten were happy to tell me that they haven't paid their bill as they're in dispute over the service provided (or not provided for many customers apparently.)
deadten in dispute with BT saying that some customers are not getting good service so they stop paying, customers in dispute with deadten (all customers not getting good service) but we still have to pay.
