Anybody reached their 15gb limit yet? If so, has your speed reduced?
With very careful use I've down/uploaded 4.9 gb.My speed is around 5.8 mb (same as its been since we've been with NJP.0 -
Heh, yeah the cancellation thing does work like that but they want an extra £15 or so for the remaining days.
Sod that - I want my MAC and out of this.
I have a secret weapon working for me at the moment which I wont disclose, but watch this space.0 -
Hi again wondered where my bog standard letter from Clod could have gone but got 2 today dated 7 and 9 inst replied as under
Dear Sir/Madam
Thank you for your communication date 7th and 9th Inst in reply to my complaint regarding my Redten agreement.
Whilst I can appreciate your attempts to brush this aside and that you wish it was resolved by your explanation I can not agree that it so.
The service currently provided is greatly inferior to the previous service and its value is patently much reduced.
And please do not insult my intelligence with Redtens feeble excuses to justify their totally unacceptable actions, if there was any truth at all in your stated reason for the 15 Gig cap that it is in relation to illegal downloads of copyrighted material how can Redten justify the fact that they are happy to increase that cap for further payment? Will paying Redten more money legitimize such downloads ? if so I will gladly pay and go p2p !
The Redten Max service currently provided is valued at some £3 less than I currently pay under your agreement.
15 Gig can and is used in about 4 days by perfectly legal usage of streaming media for example.
The minimum service which I could accept would be 100 Gig and the contracted free upgrade to 24 Meg ADSL2 when it is available to my locality in order to continue with my current payments I offer this to show I am not unreasonable in this matter as that would still represent a serious downgrading of the service contracted and paid for.
You know and I know that this fiasco is all down to the cost of bandwidth and I therefore totally reject your imposed opinion that this matter is resolved.
Your communications mentioned along with all others relating have been forwarded to my legal advisor from whom I await instructions and further advise.

Ok page loaded after 7mins
went to cancel account...answered a few questions about why do you want to cancel sadly none of the options were relevant to our situation i.e. not getting what I'm paying for...then got through to request your MAC and then a final invoice including 28 days notice.....why on earth would I want to pay NJP for anything
clearly this is Redtens liability. Oh well back on the phone to NJP

i think most of us were so frustrated last month when we got throttled that we are being a lot more careful this month until the last day or two - when we will spank that connection for all it's worth.
looking at my connection log it seems to cost me about 20 megabytes an hour to stay connected and idle - so i've switched my router for my old speedtouch just coz it's quicker to disconnect/reconnect when not surfing/downloading0 -
Just got off the phone to NJP they've removed the cancel account option and are now directing us to......wait for it........contact redten
:eek::eek:
since we are redten customers. Pillar to post:mad::mad::mad::mad: Pillar to post:mad::mad::mad::mad: and back again.

I think,as consumers we should now be asking the question why are Clode and NJP not "blowing the whistle" on redten and doing their own complaining to Ofcom. Not only should this situation not legally be happening but for associated companies to be doing nothing about it too (when they have been inundated with compaints) beggars belief:eek::eek: Time to get my MP involved...........this should not be allowed to happen again.
Rant over:D0 -
amazed how these ba***ds trying to fool us all by writing that this is fight against the piracy! Do they think that we are idiots?
Surprised why clode didn't mention measures against world terrorists online, under such label you can do whatever you want these days.0
