Benji I too have spoke to Mr Gulzar last night. also promised not to publish the email he gave me. this is the first contact that I have achived with REDTEN. I am now waiting to find out if he can now keep his promise to sort this out for me and eveyone else. Again thankyou to you for coming back to the forum. it just looks like it is going to be a slow process to get away.
How does he meany by sorting it out? MAC and cancel contract with clode? Or just MAC? I think the MAC is only a small portion of the problem now, appears getting Clode to accept cancellation at no extra cost and no bad credit rating is the main problem now.0 -
Sigh.
No reply at Redten on any number. Just spoken to Clode who again refused to help. Basically its their customer relations team I need to speak to and noone is available. Again. Not happy and said so, basically stated I am in limbo as noone wants to deal with this problem.
I asked for a call back TODAY or I would be back on the phone tomorrow.
Interestingly after I hung up I had 2 more read receipts from the customer service team at Clode.
The saga goes on - this will be sorted this week. Mark my words.0 -
For anyone else who - like me - paid upfront for 3yrs, here's where I'm up to....How have you rejected the T&C's on NJP site?
Has it affected the service now that you have rejected the T&C's?
I wrote (recorded) to RT & NJP rejecting the new T&Cs. No effect on service (yet) ie cap is still 15Gb, download speed is variable, email works when it want to, and there is no RT tech support worth mentioning!
Will post again when I hear from Trading Standards tomorrow.0 -

Indeed - I'm far more worried about being tied up in a finance agreement for something which is substandard to say the least.
I got the Clode letter this morning dated 03/04/08
We appreciate.....etc.
It goes onto say that they have reched agreement with the parties involved on the way forward. Does anybody know exactly what this agreement entails?
On second thoughts, I'll ring them and ask them directly!
Will report back later.Beware the character seeking personal gain masquerading as a moral crusader.

Like everyone else I'm getting frustrated at the complete lack of communication from Redten/Clode, and the inability to actually contact anyone whether by letter phone or e-mail (I've got plenty of read receipts from Clode!). I was just wondering whether it was worth a concerted effort from us all to get this issue before a wider audience be that The Register, Watchdog etc?0

Don't mention Watchdog or it will be deleted:D

I am up for anything that will encourage Redten/Clode/Anyone concerned to contact me - what do you propose? I have already emailed watchdog but they dont seem interested.0

Does anyone think this will work 2morrow."You are currently in contract. This is due to expire on 11 April 2008. After that date you will be able to gain access to this option.
If you believe that this information is incorrect please call customer services
on 0871 424 0185 or use the Contact Us feature to speak with one of our service staff. "0 -
Hi mis - yes, i think it will work - but regardless you will still be paying Clode - NJP will allow you to leave without a problem and I think Ill be able to get my MAC but the issue here is that wont stop Clode taking payments.
They are still key in all this although if I can get my MAC i will leave tomorrow and get the Clode thing sorted seperately.0 -
