Have you already spoke to redten and asked for a mac code? The number I used from the email said they had received a request from RT and then gave me the number, well I say me but the account is in the Mrs's name so she has to do all the calls while I am giving her the prompts on what to say! She must love me really otherwise after all the phoning I have had to get her to do she'd have killed me!!

Requested a MAC code via email (their preferred method), and in my RD letters but nothing has surfaced yet. So now are they not only in breach of the statutes mentioned in my letters they are also going to incur the wrath of Ofcom.

has anyone managed to get through to Redten at all today.
I've been trying since 08:30am pretty constantly without any luck at all.
Picked up a few times but then cut off straight away.
Got onto RT earlier after 52 minutes spoke to someone was told it was being transferred to a supervisor then the line went dead, rang the NJP number from redtens email got straight through and the mac code immediatly! You may want to add the number to your site? Would have shared the number immediately but
    1) wanted to try it first and 2) selfishly kept it quiet until i'd used it so as I could get through easier. Hope you can forgive me people for that selfish action - as it was only a 30 minute or so wait between me getting it and posting it!

I wouldn't hold your breath, I emailed them back in February for a MAC code, still waiting a response........

Try NJP see if they have received your mac request it looks like ours was done several days ago, so may be a lack of internal communications?

just spoke to NJP on the number posted earlier, they won't issue a MAC unless Redten have requested it, they didn't have a request for mine even though I've asked for it a dozen or so times.
Asked him about future plans, and all he knew was that they are delivering the 15Gb service that they have been paid for, he said Redten were not in discussions with them to increase or change the service....

Trying deadten on the 0208 number but constantly ringing with no answer - at least its not costing me anything but how long did you have to wait to get an answer on that number?

EDIT - rang for 3 mins then line went dead - re-dialling now.

    Got through to them.

Asked them to call Clode to cancel the credit agreement due to breach of contract - asked if I had sent RD Letters and I confirmed I had. Took my name and asked me to hold on.

    So now I am......

Right. He asked when I sent the letters - 2nd April and they received 3rd April.
He asked if I was aware of the 6 week cancellation clause (thats a new one) so I explained I wasnt, but regardless if there is a breach of contract then the contract is void from the date of the breach. His reply? I dont know about the legal side of things. I assured him that was the case and ignorance of the law was no defence.

He then asked for a contact number and he would ask his manager to call me back. I had a laugh and said when can I expect it. Right away he said. Right so I should expect a call immediately? Well I cant guarentee that says he. Well just to long as I get a call today I will be happy.

Also formally reiterrated my MAC request as he couldnt authorise it and his "manager" would have to.

Do I feel like I am any further along? Not really. Although I am pleased I got to speak to them

Ill keep you posted if I get a response. I spoke to Paul at Redten FYI.
