Finding it very difficult to think logically with regard to Redten!! The request for compensation was made by myself on the 11th February and the supervisor i was speaking with then assurred me that i would be recompensed for calls and hassle and now they they they cannot locate this conversation!!

Honestly Hollyday, maybe i should just forget it as the stress caused by the endless repeating re telephone calls is horrendous and i really feel i wont get anywhere with them in the end

    Hi RITETIDY

I've moved your thread over to the Internet Board. There is already a thread there on this company, and you should get better responses.

Hi, Martin’s asked me to post this in these circumstances: I’ve asked Board Guides to move threads if they’ll receive a better response elsewhere(please see this rule) so this post/thread has been moved to another board, where it should get more replies. If you have any questions about this policy please email abuse@moneysavingexpert.com.

same thing seem to be happening to my daughter she signed up for the computer package with REDTEN back in november 2007 after phone calls & emails had a reply Jan 7 to say that it would arrive in three weeks due to extra orders over christmas after several more emails & phone calls still no reply to either so far all she has paid is the connection fee not much good without any thing to connect to i signed up for the package in September took six to seven weeks to arrive & so far every thing is working fine

Garf i spoke to them about 3 weeks ago regarding the Laptop i am waiting on and the guy on the phone admitted that they don't have any at the moment and he didn't know when they would be be getting them.
i have now had internet access since December and haven't paid a penny to them i even phoned up to tell them they hadn't taken any money from me and was told "don't worry about it" i have to say they are a very strange company to deal with.
  • I have a bt wholesale Notice of termination of service stating Redten has either repeated non payment or ceased trading..either way i have no adsl service.. Any suggestions on what to do next gratefully recieved. Also no pickup on Tariqs 0871 number. Good luck all!

My OH just phoned me from home. She has been using the internet today, but after lunch time can only get a BT Wholesale webpage stating (paraphrase) that RedTen have repeatedly not paid bills and have been disconnected from the network. We can get a MAC code, or just leave it and be disconnected in a couple of weeks. Lovely. They're still trading on the internet and their page makes no mention of any problems, but I def wouldn't connect with them now! Not looking forward to going home to no internet!!

I have got the same message currently on the phone to the finance company as i want to know what the deal is with the money as i have still not paid a penny and Redten have still to send me through the equipment i ordered.

Just been told by the finance company that Redten have not gone bust and they are dealing with the problem just now and it should be up and working soon.

I said this back in 2006. People need to realise that anything with a contract longer than 12 months leaves them open to this kind of situation.
  • the problem is at the moment BT will supply a mac code valid for 8 days and will need to be passed to the new provider before 17th march otherwise you will have to wait until the service is ceased before placing a new order. I'm so close to ordering a new connection...any other suggestions? Patience is running thin now..esp seeing they havent taken any money from new customer..hmmm
