Report them then to Luton Trading Standards Office who have a special complaints and warning site category for rogue traders such as these.

Under company law they have to receive mail at that address. If you know who you spoke to, you can notify company house that they are not using that address which they have registered at company house as the company address for all company house and other documentation.

Thanks just reported them to TSO,
The guy at RedTen did say the mail gets forward to them, but didn't say what the delay was.

Loaded if you are a true REDTEN customer post your account number as others have done. If you are REDTEN or CLODE admit as such and dont try to clog up this forum with information that is unhelpful to the real customers who want thier rights and the service that we paid for.

I am very happy with the new service and thousands of others must be and you say I am only one sticking up for Redten and Clode. The reason is that the vast majority of us many thousands perhaps are quite happy as well. They have no reason to post on here have you thought of that I am thinking not. Anyone who is happy has no reason to look at this thread. This thread has only attracted a very small minority of customers who are not happy and I think an ulterior motive is behind the scenes here. I am thinking that there has been a small blip in service and you have jumped on it as a way to try to keep your computers without seeing the 3 year contract out. So greed and selfishness are playing a hand I think we should all accept the minor blip and be pleased that we are with a better service. Not trying to use this little blip as an excuse to try to grab the computer and run without seeing through the contract that we are signed up to.

This will be my last post to you loaded, I like others here are pretty convinced you are either a plant by Clode or Redten, or you have not read the posts in this thread, and as such do not realise how precarious your position is, my own suspicions are that the service will be downgraded again and sooner rather than later, under the new terms and conditions all of the non dissenters are accepting by default. Whatever the case I will not waste my time getting into a pointless slanging match, we are all entitled to our own opinion. I personally am a man of my word and when I agree to do something I do it, I do not suddenly change mid stream and say oops that wasn't meant to happen, but as it has I will just change everything and give no reason why. If there are so few of us that it doesn't matter why don't Redten and clode release us and be done with it. They are quite welcome to have their computer back as I am only using the hard drive for storage and the monitor which is slightly bigger than my 17" flat screen sat in the cupboard as a spare, so do not even suggest that this is all about a crap computer, it is about dis-honourable people not sorting their mistakes properly.
As I say I have stated my position which will not change for the duration of this debacle, so post to your hearts content, however if you are a genuine customer and not a company plant don't say you havn't been warned and don't look to me for help if and when it all goes pear shaped in the future.
Have a nice life, and I am not being sarcastic.

THe PC is only free if you agree to 3 years of broadband service it does come with this stipulation

Actually, you're wrong. The PC was free if you agreed to sign up for 3 years unlimited broadband. If the agreement needed to be changed, Redten agreed to inform their customers no less than 14 days before said changes were to take place, allowing the customer time to decide whether or not to stick with Redten. If the customer chose not to continue the service due to the changes being made, Redten agreed to free the customer from the contract without financial penalty. 15GB limit is not an unlimited service. There was no advance warning from Redten that this would happen. Redten has breached the contract significantly, with Clode being jointly liable under the CCA.

You know, it's funny how your first post covered all the points raised by Clode and the MD/Secretary of Redten. How can Clode, a loans company, confirm that 15Gb is enough for the average user? Clode does not specialise in providing internet services. You can easily use up 15Gb a month simply by using BBC iPlayer, etc. It is not for Clode to decide what is enough, as the original contract stipulated an unlimited service.

The worst thing about your posts here is that you think your customer base is stupid enough to believe that you are simply one of the very few happy Redten customers out there, rather than a Clode/Redten employee, or perhaps one of the directors of Redten. If you had any decency, you'd actively open up lines of communication between your company and your customers, rather than pretend to be something you are not. The fact that you insist on pretending to be a "customer" shows just how low you will go to cover this up and get away with what you are doing. Have the balls to face your customers and stop !!!!ing people about!

Oh, and I'm not even a Redten customer. I would not put up with the crap these poor people have had to tolerate.

Nice choice of username there, too. Talk about rubbing your customers' faces in it.

You're right! They must all be over the Moon. They're so happy they're all phoning up Redten to thank them... must be... 'cause none of us can ever get through!

Hands up anyone who's happier with their connection since the switch? Let's limit the responses to people registered on MSE before today (8th April 08)... wouldn't want Redten sending any stooges in making false posts now would we
  • By the way, people, this is probably a high court issue, rather than a small claims court issue. It's a Contract Law thing, thus not dealt with by the small claims court. The only way for it to go to small claims is to let Clone take you to court, then explain what has happened to a judge.
