02088105244, Saves calling the 0844 482 0000 number, and although sometimes it just rings for ages, it's far better than the teribble music on hold.

It is engaged a lot!!! So if you could all stop calling, maybe I could get through!!:rotfl:

just made a complaint to the Advertising Standards Authority, don't expect immediate action but the more complaints the better as far as I'm concerned.

Obviuosly my post was not directed at you redten and others that have been unfortunate enough not to be swopped over. But this only applies to 38 out of several thousand of us? No company is going to get it 100% right, look at the likes of British Gas and others. There are bound to be some mistakes when dealing in so many customers. Okay so we went through a period of turmoil for a few days, but everythings been resolved now for those that have been swopped and I think you guys are stirring up a mass hysteria on this thread.
  • Lets review the reasons given by redten/NJP/clode

    1) upgrading to a faster server; result --my service is slower than it was previously, at times it has been 50b/s download speed for days on end.
    2) we had a lot of complaints about BT wholesale service and decided to move to a better one and--result so to NJP Services, in parnership with BT Wholesale.
    3) we had to move fast because BT broke their agreement without giving us time to move; --result move to NJP who were designing and organising the move for months.
    4) we are looking at ways of stopping copywrite and are limiting everyone to a miserly 15GB for that purpose--result, we dont care about copy write if you are prepared to pay extra at high cost for any more bandwidth, then you ca have as much as you like.

Other reasons given for the denial of service:

    1) BT --they did not pay their bills.
    2) NJP-- they did not pay their bills.

    Who do you believe?

I am very happy with the new service and thousands of others must be and you say I am only one sticking up for Redten and Clode. The reason is that the vast majority of us many thousands perhaps are quite happy as well. They have no reason to post on here have you thought of that I am thinking not. Anyone who is happy has no reason to look at this thread. This thread has only attracted a very small minority of customers who are not happy and I think an ulterior motive is behind the scenes here. I am thinking that there has been a small blip in service and you have jumped on it as a way to try to keep your computers without seeing the 3 year contract out. So greed and selfishness are playing a hand I think we should all accept the minor blip and be pleased that we are with a better service. Not trying to use this little blip as an excuse to try to grab the computer and run without seeing through the contract that we are signed up to.

I would also add my tuppence worth:

Losing connection for 10 days - still no comment - apology or explanation from Redten.
Receiving a slower connection - not what I expect - especially as their contract says - Equivalent or better service.
Complete lack of support - no way to communicate by voice, email or snail mail - and no help with how to get the origional services IE email to work.
Limitation of service 15GB - still no word from Redten as to why we are restricted or why they have changed from unlimited.

In what way does this show any confidence for the company at all!
Even the website still says - upgrade to 24Mb possible loss of server for upto a day or so (not 10 days)- hmmm

Don't you all think its time to stop all this whinging on here. Okay so we were without broadband for a few days but in relation to the whole contract of 3 years this is smallfry. I have found my speeds faster since the swop to njp and hardly ever get any connection drops. I was getting dozens of connection drops per day previously and complained to redten about it as must have lots of others thats why we were swopped over to a better service. Clode have confirmed that 15GB is more than enough for the vast majority of us and if there is a problem with this to talk to Redten. What can be fairer than that?

I've tried this route and spent all day on the phone to Redten still with no joy. 15Gb is not enough and not what I'm paying for. Stupid comments let this are oh no help
