Good idea mac0 but my gripe on this whole issue is that Clode and Redten have had more than enough time to sort this out. We are constantly being told "we are no further forward" blah de blah, so how long will it be before we are then? The fact is that they are trying to keep us guessing until the matter is resolved one way or another and we shouldnt have to stand for it.

We have all given Redten and Clode more than enough time to sort this, we have been 'reasonable' as far as the courts will be concerned and enough is enough - release us now and sort it out between yourselves, the inaction or apparant inaction to date as been unacceptable. They cant delay their way out of statute.

1) Redten have breached their contract by not supplying us with unlimtied broadband and not advising us of the interruption of service and/or the change in providers
2) Clode are jointly liable for this breach under the Consumer Credit Act.
3) Contract is void as a result of the breach, from the DATE OF THE BREACH - that is the 11th March 2008.

Its as simple as that.

well i look at it lik this clode are in a position as they cannot release by LAW unless redten say say they can and then redten have to pay clode money for the release dont you think clode would probally love to just say its not on we dont our name to be tarnished you can all go well get redten i have a feeling they are doing thier way and at the end of the day they know redten have done this and have to run the course by law too and hey we dont know what route they are planning you never know it could that they are prepairing thier own case against redten for this and if so that would be a good thing bye bye redten dont just dismiss any idea that may help i think they know redten are not going to provide and im shure behind the scenes they are doing something but as anything the cats not out of the bag yet lets see what happens you got plenty of time before you would get a hearing in court so while or if you have made an application to the court sit back and stop wasting any more money on fruitless exercises ie hpone and rd mail and welcome any update or what ever with open arms you never know it might never happen going to court we dont know yet it all takes time for all we know clode may allready be drawing up a claim against redten or maybe not but if we dont at least welcome any or if any communication then whats the point!!!

All fair points Mac.

If they want to communicate they have:
a) 2 x email addresses
b) 2 x phone numbers
c) my fax number
d) my postal address.

But they CHOOSE not to communicate which only winds me up more. SOME people had emails from Clode stating current position. I havent.

If Clode and/or Redten had chosen to communicate all along then they wouldnt be in this position with me personally. Communicating WITH CUSTOMERS via a third party website is unnacceptable. There will be 100's if not 1000's of Redten customers who dont even know this thread exists, and its wrong, plain wrong.

Dont get me wrong MAC, I appreciate what you are doing, but for me, this has gone on long enough

That just about sums it up in my book, has anyone approached the financial ombudsman yet? Likewise has anyone lodged papers at Court? I still have a couple of days to wait before I lodge papers.

Rubbish. Just spoke to Clode.

Them: noone is available to take my call.
Me: I want to talk to someone about the problem
Them: the people dealing with redten are not available, all i can do is take a message and someone will call you back.
Me: That's not good enough, this has been going on since the 11th March, I get no reply to my emails or recorded delivery letters, nor do I get a call back when I leave a message.
Them: Oh right. When did you send the letter.
Me: Dated 2nd April, and you received it the day after. Signed for
Them: Well when we receive it we will be in touch.
Me: You have received it - i can prove that.
Them: ah, well, its sat in an office with the Redten team then.
Me: So can I talk to them please?
Them: No, they are not available.

Basically this went on and on, not very helpfull. I finished by asking for the balance on my account as this will have to now go to the small claims court. I was told this and I left a further message for the person dealing with it to get back to me.

Still annoyed.

If that is the case then let Clode come out of the woodwork on this forum and tell us something, they are saying nothing to us, I seem to recall they were writing to us all, or at least to those complainants, I for one have received nothing in writing from anyone, apart from the email from RT to back up mail (6/3/2008). Have been fed verbal garbage from a few people, but always remember the adage, a verbal agreement is not worth the paper it is not written on, and is of no use in court, likewise neither are any promises or platitudes that are given.
I tend to agree Clode could possibly be as much the victim as ourselves in this matter, but I can assure everyone reading this, that when push comes to shove, if it is their loss or ours, then we shall be shoved or pushed right out of the door, Clode will look after their own interests first. Sorry Clode but that is the reality, and I for one will most likely be lodging my complaint with the F.O. at the end of the week when I will consider that you hasve had time to respond to my recent letter.
In conclusion good people of Clode Retail Finances give us your intentions and give them in writing, then maybe the cynics amongst us will believe you

Just had a call from the Mrs - have now received the same badly worded, gramatically incorrect letter that a few people here have received.

Just to bear with them a couple more days.

Nope, sorry, you can swing for it. Im off and I will now be calling them every day until I get a response.

More info for all.

Just spoke to OFCOM again. I have requested on this forum that everyone put in a complaint with them just to get a reference number. If you have'nt maybe this will change your mind.

http://www.ofcom.org.uk/bulletins/comp_bull_index/comp_bull_ocases/open_all/cw_946/

This link is what happened to Prodigy for failure to provide a MAC. I hope you reading this REDTEN a £30,000 fine was imposed by OFCOM:T. Now I have just sent my letters today. I have given them a month to return my service to the one that I have paid for as yet they have failed. They now have until the 14th of this month to provide me with my MAC and terminate the credit agreement.

For everyone who has sent a letter to REDTEN can you send an email copy to OFCOM macevidence@ofcom.org.uk in the subject line put your reference number if you have already registard a complaint. OFCOM asked if I could put this here as they can not use this site as evidence against REDTEN. More waiting but hopfully REDTEN will start to answer some of us.

Iam also checking with citizens advice as to appling chares for comunication with REDTEN. As you would get a charge for the bank sending a letter to you, you can use this as well. To send a repaet letter you can charge them so I have been told by someone who was in a similar situation.
If true I will post or if anyone else finds out they can.

Will speak to you all again soon. Sorry if I have repeated any info but this thread is getting big.
Ron.

No longer waiting REDTEN:D
