I feel for thse who cant afford the massive phone bills due to hit thier mats sorting this whole fiasco out. They are the ones who are loosing out. I wonder how Phoenix_Brighton is? He's not been on for a while.

Its disgusting how this has been allowed to happen and affect so many people. Who are innocent of any wrong doing.

I wonder how the MD of Clode and Redten can sleep at night.

I'd love 5 minutes on the phone with both of them. I'd have my say! Infact if you come across this post please drop me a PM. I have a few things I'd like to say on behalf of the many people on here!

Well I've been away for a few days and apart from some questioning Benjimoron's credentials, not a huge amount has happened. Certainly appears that no-one has had an official response from any of the parties involved.

My letters to Clode & the registered Redten HO were delivered but not the one in Reading - maybe rejected?

Keep it together people. Benjimoron has been a rock from the beginning of this debacle and we need his input as well as everyone elses!

not looking forward to my bill it was around £34 just sorting why we were without broadband for the first week, dreading the next one

I can sort of understand why Clode are so unwilling to do anything about this...at the end of the day, they're the ones who are going to end up losing absolutely loads of money over backing the wrong horse. However, they are a business and they should have done a proper risk assessment before backing Redten. You don't know what bull Redten has been feeding Clode, either.

I do think that Clone should do the right thing now and cancel all contracts immediately, without financial repercussions to the end user. It seems to me that Clone has given Redten a huge amount of money up front to provide you all with unlimited broadband, which all you lot are paying back in monthly installments. Redten's business-model was flawed, however, and as such, they can't provide you with the service you've paid for. So, Clone can't nullify the contracts you all have with them, as they won't stand a chance of getting any money back from Redten (who will just fold if that happens). Clone is jointly liable for provision of the service you're all paying for, though, which gives you all a lot of room to manoeurve. You've all in a very good position legally. I think Clone is just hoping most people will give up and just carry on paying. For those who are a little more vocal, they threaten court action and credit black-listing. Being vocal isn't enough - you've got to take them to court. It's the only way you will get anywhere with this.

Its iffy that friedns of the directors buy up the assets and start all over again. I expect that there are behind the scenes doing what they know best.

Redten are the real cowboys in all this, Clode are just trying to make the most of a bad job. I think clode are behind all the recent changes in our package with NJP (getting us upto 15GB). I think they also prevented the walled garden from NJP last week. All hostilities should be aimed at Redten.
And No I don't work for clode.

Oh, I know that....if you look at what happened with Watford Electronics and who bought it out (the man behind Globally Ltd), you'll see it's a direct relation of the previous owner (son, I think - could be brother, though). He also owns Redten.

But on Wednesday, Watford Electronics went into administration. At 3.30pm that same afternoon, according to a statement posted on the firm's Savastore website that day, a firm called Globally Ltd "purchased the business of Watford Electronics".
Globally had been established just days earlier, according to Companies House. Its registered address is Jessa House, 1 Finway, Luton. Watford Electronics/Savastore also operates from that address.
