Redten are the real cowboys in all this, Clode are just trying to make the most of a bad job. I think clode are behind all the recent changes in our package with NJP (getting us upto 15GB). I think they also prevented the walled garden from NJP last week. All hostilities should be aimed at Redten.
And No I don't work for clode.
Agreed. But Clode will have been aware of their financial liabilities prior to agreeing to act as the financier in this sorry episode. They should therefore have calculated the risk and built that into the cut of our payments that they take.
Also, if we didn't pay them, they probably wouldn't hesitate to black list us and use debt recovery agents against us.
We have done nothing wrong, so most definitely shouldn't be the ones that lose out in all this.Beware the character seeking personal gain masquerading as a moral crusader.

Glad you agree.
I wasn't saying that clode are perfect, just that the real cowboys are REDTEN‘I am not a number, I’m a free man’0 -
But on Wednesday, Watford Electronics went into administration. At 3.30pm that same afternoon, according to a statement posted on the firm's Savastore website that day, a firm called Globally Ltd "purchased the business of Watford Electronics".
Globally had been established just days earlier, according to Companies House. Its registered address is Jessa House, 1 Finway, Luton. Watford Electronics/Savastore also operates from that address.
Its fishy to the core.0 -

Clode (am I the only one who keeps thinking they are called Chode??!!) will get more from the end users than from Redten. If you stop paying, they take you to court and get a county court judgement against you. They can then ask for baliffs to get involved and seize goods from you. If they move against Redten, Redten will just go bankrupt. I doubt Redten has any assets to seize, so Clode is left without any money back. That's without even getting into the complications of the contracts involved here. You don't know what contractual terms are in place between Clode and Redten.

Well said, Clode are undoubtedly insured against such risks, therefore they suffer by paying higher premiums, but they are liable we are not--we kept to our side of the bargain by paying the monthly charge for the service and signing up for 3 years; we did not break the agreement, they did. All we want is restitution and go elsewhere for the level of service we originally bought from redten and clode.

read the link I posted in the post you've quoted...shows how Watford Electronics changed name and company address days before being taken over.
I can't do anything against Redten, dafftbint...I'm not with them. I'm with Entanet.
(It's the last one I did...I'm downloading at the mo, but will post a new one when my downloads are done). In a rut? Can't get out? Don't know why?

Are you reading this as well Clode?
Perhaps you should settle this matter, rather than wait for the summons to start dropping through you mailbox (or being served by a county court clerk!).Beware the character seeking personal gain masquerading as a moral crusader.

Here's now, with me downloading and it being off-peak (it's busy on the Entanet pipes!)
When you guys manage to break away from these guys, move over to Entanet...if you don't want to do that, go to thinkbroadband and read up on the various ISPs before signing up to a new one. I'd strongly advise people to stay away from contract tie-ins. No decent ISP should require you to tie yourself into a long contract. No, AOL is not a decent ISP.In a rut? Can't get out?
