    @safetyguy - nice post.

    I agree that it is just a matter of time now. I for one have more more than reasonable and patient in my dealings with them and as a result I have no official information from anyone as to when I am getting what I am paying for.

    Failure to get a MAC with my remaining contract terminated by the end of the week will result in me going to the small claims court.

    In fact, I am going to call Clode tomorrow and ask them for the balance on my account as I will need to know that when I issue proceedings. Lets see how they like that.

    My understanding from the last few days is that a MAC code is generated for migration purposes, are valid for 30 days or until used i.e. 1 use only, so I think that those folks getting excited at using the old redten code could be in for a nasty suprise, I had my MAC code from BT wholesale accepted by Tiscali last saturday only to be told in a letter today that it was invalid as it had been used.
    Am still trying other routes though.
    Sorry to P on anyones parade and I hope I am wrong, but I don't think so.

    just spoke to BT again about my order. Doing a "internal home move" is the only way to get BT based broadband without a MAC code if your forced to move from BT to Virgin. It took some time but the nice lady sorted it. I've done this before she quoted. Anyway, if it works fantastic. If it dont I'm off to virgin.

    They said the order has not failed and your service will be disrupted from 6am as we switch. You'll be connected by 8pm that evening but usually sooner than that.

    what number did you use to call them?
    I believe "internal move" it is something that only BT can do?

    Nope my speed hasn't returned, if anything it is slightly worse then yesterday.
    Does anyone expect them to put the speeds correct from now until we either leave or get moved again?

    Im a little confused too - i though MAC's were time limited - clarification would be good as if this is valid, Im off.

    I asked both NJP and Redten about payment this morning but both of the guys answering support calls said it had nothing to do with them.
