login in to the page then press the Printscreen button on the keyboard of your top of the range £500 redten pc open up paint and go to edit then paste then save as call it what you want and save as a Jpeg.

I did the same. I reduced the size in explorer from 100% to 75% then pasted the sceen print into paint. I cut out the rubbish and printed it off. I got a File I now keep my Bits in!

    Its growing by the day.

I'm going to get out of my finance agreement. We've been mis-sold a product.

Redten have condradicted themselfs so many times about free this and that it a joke.

My e-mail has been down since last friday.
Have tried POP3 settings on both mail.redten.net and 84.45.23.34
Has anybody got any other ideas or are we all in the same boat?

Can't remember which of suggested checking back on old emails - but thanks! I never used the Redten email address, so have still got all emails from the time I signed up - September 2007.

Found I had an 'Order Acknowledgement' from Redten. Amongst other things it tells me:
"As you have chosen to have your broadband service activated before the delivery of your FREE PC the order for the broadband will be processed once the signed paperwork has been received back and the MAC Code supplied."
I suggest you all check to see if you can track down your order acknowledgements - it all adds to the weight of evidence against this bunch of cowboys.

Computer Active Magazine, who published the interview with Mr Bullsh**t Gulzar where he uttered verbally inaccurate statements regarding 'Free PC Vs Free Internet', can be contacted on 02073 169000.
If you feel the need to inform them of the truth as I have already done, they may see fit to retract their article, or investigate the situation and print a more accurate one.
You have to get past the reception and ask for a reporter but if enough of us ask for the story to be looked at in an impartial manner the resulting bad publicity may have some effect, maybe, who knows?

Is you look at the bandwith usage you'll see a cost of £2 has been made for using 1GB extra.

How do they get that money? Is redten paying for it?

where is phoenixbrighton gone. He was very vocal until just after his conversation with Gulzar.

Maybe they struck him a deal to shut up as he was rocking the boat too much...

Im a little confused too - i though MAC's were time limited - clarification would be good as if this is valid, Im off.

My understanding from the last few days is that a MAC code is generated for migration purposes, are valid for 30 days or until used i.e. 1 use only, so I think that those folks getting excited at using the old redten code could be in for a nasty suprise, I had my MAC code from BT wholesale accepted by Tiscali last saturday only to be told in a letter today that it was invalid as it had been used.
Am still trying other routes though.
Sorry to P on anyones parade and I hope I am wrong, but I don't think so.
    Regards Jack

Managed to get through to RedTen this time only a 30minute wait, the guy that answered kept asking wher ein their T&C's does it state that this is an unlimited service, Told him it was all over the website and my order, but he wouldn't accept that only said where in the T&C's, also quoted him his own Fair Usage Policy, but again T&Cs spouted by him. Told him I wante my MAc code and was told again £150 cancellation charge, refused this saying he was in breach of contract for not supplying what I paid for, then got into a debate about the so called FREE pc, he said this was what was being financed, told him I have a VAT invoice showing PC as zero value. ended up going round in circle, apparently they had a meeting with NJP yesterday and he said their MD had requested unlimited downloads for all, (think this might be a porky seeing as NJP are disputing payment with them. Mentioned this to him and he got a bit nervous, disappeared off the line for a while then came back and said any payment dispute was not his issue. Then went on about removing my capped limited, he said this was already done, pointed out that although the couters had been reset the spped was still about 16Kbps, he said he would call NJP and call me back.....I'm not holding my breath for that then

If Redten have induced us to purchase a computer by telling us that we were paying for a broadband service or to purchase a broadband service that is described as unlimited, subject to their published fair usage policy, but is actually limited regardless of the fair usage policy then they are guilty of misrepresentation. I doubt that any reasonable person would consider a service capped at 5Gb with automatic throttling to be unlimited by any stretch of the imagination and I have nothing from them that indicates that I was buying a PC, in fact it clearly states in my t&c's that the PC remains their property until the end of the contract, at which point it reverts to my ownership without charge (that's when it becomes free). If a court decides that misrepresentation has been used then the contracts are automatically rescinded. Mr Gulzar needs to speak to his own legal advisers before giving interviews. I suspect that when the first of us exhausts the reasonable timeframes for complaining and allowing redten and clode to respond, and instigates legal proceedings, the whole house of cards will come tumbling down. Individually, the costs of bringing a claim in the small claims courts is quite reasonable but the collective cost to redten and clode of defending those claims will be disproportionate to the risk they take of losing and setting a precedent. It is the same reason why the banks resisted going to court over unreasonable bank charges for so long. I'm just waiting now for the days to tick by while clode and redten continue to do nothing, not even to tell us what is going on. Every day is another nail in their financial coffin as far as I am concerned as I really cannot see any court finding that they have exercised reasonable skill and judgement in their dealings with us.
