Thanks Kevindowns, great link but I am confused to how we stand if we move over to them, I assume we would still have to pay clode and then pay NJP on top as well? anyone spoke to NJP about this and what our rights are?
If we jump ship are we breaking our terms again?0 -
Come on kev - is this a wind up or not????0

Anybody else had same issue as me this weekend? My redten broadband has been down completely since Saturday morning. I have made no changes to firewalls, settings etc and it is just gives 'Page cannot be displayed' message. Before I go through the interminable process of ringing Redten would be interested to know if this is just me or if this problem has affected others.
Cheers0 -
nothing surprises me about this whole mess.
Redten should just step back - agree we were misled and mis-sold. Agree that finance agreements can be cancelled at nil penalty and then hand over to NJP where we can continue or get a MAC code and go elsewhere.
Something which occured to me over the weekend is that why are we all being penalised with a cap for some customers alleged downloading of copyright material? Surely they know who does it and should limit them, not all of us?
Still pretty het up about the whole situation as noone has had the courtesy to reply to my official email complaint. Even a "we have received your email and will be in touch shortly" would be good. To get nothing is an insult and only serves to wind me up even further.
last week when i first contacted redten about this they said i had gone over 5GB limit, when i said we were supposed to be unlimited they then changed the excuse to breaching fair use policy, when i questiond this thats when they brought out the downloading copyright material clause.
i would like to say as one of the customers that has been suspended for the alleged downloading of copyright material, if this is the case redten should prove that it was not legally obtained material, to do this would surely breach privacy laws. it seems that its the only reason they can think of to try to limit/stop my service.
no warnings given, no contact whatsoever about any of all this. and they wonder why people are so fed up.0 -
Just spoke to Stephan at Clode.
They are aware of the probs and are liasing with Redten as we speak. Didnt fob me off by trying to get me to call them and apologised profusely but they are doing everything they can to get this sorted.
He asked me for my customer reference number so he can log my complaint and he also asked if I had emailed in already (which I have). He said they are inundated with calls and are on it.
Might be worth a call to log the complaint if you havent already. - 0844 844 47000 -
Does this mean we will all get our MAC codes
