nothing surprises me about this whole mess.
Redten should just step back - agree we were misled and mis-sold. Agree that finance agreements can be cancelled at nil penalty and then hand over to NJP where we can continue or get a MAC code and go elsewhere.
Something which occured to me over the weekend is that why are we all being penalised with a cap for some customers alleged downloading of copyright material? Surely they know who does it and should limit them, not all of us?
Still pretty het up about the whole situation as noone has had the courtesy to reply to my official email complaint. Even a "we have received your email and will be in touch shortly" would be good. To get nothing is an insult and only serves to wind me up even further.0 -
I think Redten have taken on the extra cost of the fixed IP so they can do all their "checks" I'm sure that the small charge per person has still saved them loads in the short term0

I recieved a phone call from scott so he can take my mac code and to connect me to NJP.
the number he called from wasn't witheld. it was an 0208 london number.
Sorry I can't release the number yet. just incase they get !!!!ed off and never connect my broadband again.0 -
I've just signed up for talk talk. My web access went down at the weekend and to be honest, I just want away from this Redten SCUM.
With talk talk, I will get 40GB allowance a month - way more than what I need. I could of survived on the 5gb allowance but I hate having to watch how much I am using. At least they have customer services that are contactable.
I works out that it wont be costing me any more money any way as the talk talk deal is a better one than what I was getting with BT.0 -

I think that they would use the "some customers abusing the service" as an excuse to cap everyone, I agree with you that they should know who these individuals are and deal with them individually.
Also I thought the whole reduced service should only take affect in peak hours ie 6pm - 11pm, not for the remainder of the month.
Remember when we came back online we only had about 10 days to the end of the month, if we do get reset tonight and it is still on 5GB cap then by 1th April at latest we will all be stuck again!0 -

I think if I dont get my reply to my letters by Wednesday (their deadline) i am going to request my Mac and get away from them. Ill sort the Clode agreement with them seperately.
