I just wish I had a connection of some sort. Since being cut off I appear to be one of the unlucky (lucky) few who have not been transferred to NJP. Tried to contact RT, to know avail, even sent them my MAC code by email, courtesy of a kind lady at BT and still no connection.
Clode do not want to know - how many more out there are in my position?
Read benjimoron's poosts - he was in the same position as you and managed to get out of the clode contract completely.0 -
What really wees me off is the fact that Clode & Redten know full well what they are doing (especially if they are reading this forum). I don't see what they are looking to achieve as all that will happen is that they will be forced to release us and lose any customer loyalty they may have had.
If they actually worked with us to overcome their problems, I'm sure a satisfactory outcome could be found for everyone involved.Beware the character seeking personal gain masquerading as a moral crusader.

very useful site --and thanks to leybald for useful info.
* You must at the very least put in writing to redten that you do not wish the new service that is advertised by NJP in their letter and on their website well before the 11.4.2008, as it is a detriment to your original agreement and contract for services.
* Complain to local trading standards in Luton, they are the enforcers of the various consumers laws which have been broken.
+ When you inform them you do not want their change of contract, you ask for the mac code and remind them they only have 5 days to supply it.
If they do not supply it within 5 days, make a further complaint to the Trading Standards officer in that they by breaking the Communications Act they are also breaching the new Denial of Service Law 2006 by withholding access to iternet and interfereing with your computers operations --same complaint re cutting speed to unuseable level
tHEY ALSO APPEAR TO BE TRACKING INDIVIDUAL USERS USE AND INTERACTION WITH THE SITES THEY VISIT AND THE POSTS THEY MAKE AS OTHERS HAVE QUERIED BEFORE.
Two posts I made earlier with comment almost immediately sparked a change in my ability to access the various sites that I was visiting.
This site and this post forum is the verrry verrry slooowest to access and interact with. Co-incidence? Doubt it. Site is almost blocked completely whilst others are still available.
The use if static IP addresses can be used by ISP to identify individuals and the sites and even the posts they make. Quite sure they are doing it here, performance of my PC seems to indicate that this is the case. Course thats really breaking the law punishable by two years in prison.
speak to you all later0 -

By interfereing with the operation of your PC. law was aimed at spammers and hackers but covers anyone who intereferes with the operation of your PC such as to make it unuseable. I am now unable to access my work through VPN or my family abroad.
They are also breaching your privacy and there may still be the old common law in england of denying you peaceful enjoyment of your home through their unaccetable interference, still exists in scotland0 -
well i never had a fixed ip but now i seem to have through njp just checked on whats my ip and it states same ip as on njp site i never asked for fixed ip what gives???0
-
everyone got fixed IP --its the system that murphx uses as can track better--also makes it easier to identify you on the internet as it is broadcast by murphx. I used to be dynamic which changes at each logon and router used to be able to hide it behind router IP which it cant anymore.0
-
and i meant as in on njp it states i got fixed ip same as it shows and thats after rebooting the router and dissabling my lan conection and restarting it!! so it definately a fixed ip so are we being charged for this service of maybe being tracked and monitored ?0
