Right since I came back on the Internet on the 19th, I have only used 6 days worth of internet (i was away for couple days and PC switched off but router left on). I have worked out that I have done approx 600MB of physical downloads myself (windows updates, virus updates, adobe update, spyware updates and tomtom map and speed camera updates).
I am now on 4.5gb used. I am averaging 0.5GB a day even though all I use are web sites (not youtube or iplayer) just normal every day websites and i use MSN (no file sharing). It appears that I go up 30MB every half hour without fail, I cannot beilieve that all the "behind the scenes" stuff that your PC does with the internet amounts to say 25-30 MB every half hour??
I do not believe that the bandwidth usage and connection log stats are accurate and I will be penalised by the end of today as I would have hit 5GB.
Anyone else in same boat?

I have just copied my complaint letter to Nick Davies with a speil about how they are jointly responsible under the consumer credit act.

Redten and Clode still both have until 2nd April to respond to me, so I havent chased their response, just wanted to make Mr Davies aware yet again that this is a MAJOR issue that cannot be ignored.

@bobby - Well, that will be my next course of action if I dont get a response I think. I can really pile it on then about not receiving a response.

In the recorded snail mail letters I am going to request my MAC too.

Ill be glad when this whole mess is over!

UPDATE: Just had a read receipt from Nick Davies. See if he can get things moving for me.

here is my complaint to ASA

Your complaint:
Redten have enforced a 5GB download cap on all users and so the service is not unlimited. I pay monthly for this service to a company called Clode via a finance agreement and they tell me that the payment is for a PC and the broadband is free.
Contrary to the advertisement.

The above email comes back as underliverable but interestingly the return email is generated from postmaster@savastore.com
