As to everyone who wants a template letter - there have been many good suggestions. I fear we wont know what works until next week. I have a strong feeling clode are going to stonewall all the way.
I think all our best bets is to visit citizen's advice and ask them to help us write a letter.
If anyone is a lawyer - please draft a template letter and post it!!!0 -
Agreed, I think you were correct to not publish - people have lives outside of work and not entirely sure what it would accomplish that couldnt be done through better streams.
Also I would feel I've sunk to their depths of underhanded tricks myself...

yeah i wouldn't have felt right about publishing it. I defo made the right decsion. I want to win this fair and square and if, lets face it, when this gets to court it would hardly look good if we were writing to these guy's homes!
Anyway am going to talk to BT tommorow about putting in another line activating it and then shutting down my other phone line because this thing could drag on for months and lets face it redten are never going to provide mac codes (and BT wholesale never will either unless they have approval from ofcom).0 -

Just found out NJP have charged me twice for the bolt on I've never received
£36 down the tubes.
Have to call them about that - whos guessing they'll say no chance0 -
they are reading these posts; so watch what you say --do things correctly.
as previous posts submit the complaints in writing.
They have breached a number of consumer regulations; trading standards; communications regulations;
Their registered address remains castalian rd in london. that is what they have filed with Companies House--if they changed it and did not notify Companies House they can be fined and barred from trading.
Make a complaint to all official bodies. BERR/OFT/OFCOM/Consumer Direct/ ASA/
You must complain about both companies/ I would throw in NJP for good measure.
All of them have failed to provide notice ( expected to be 30 days ) in clear understandable english of a change to the service such as to attempt to deny your rights to withdraw without penality if you disagree with the change of service. They are attempting to avoid ttheir liability under the consumer credit regulations and the consumer protection regulations.
Make sure you lodge your complaints in writing and ask for a mac code in advance of 11.4.2008 which is 30 days after you knew about a change via BT.0 -
I wouldnt even entertain giving NJP any money for a bolt on, were all entitled to unlimited broadband and they know it. they are taking advantage of the situation0

indeed they were, but the very fact its not working only serves to add ammo to my formal complaint I raised at the beginning of the week - they have till Tuesday to respond I will then chase Clode again and sort it out from that side...0

NJP have been here before with other companies and fast4 who were shipped across without notice and received a capped service and poorer speeds. The finance/ISP involved at that time was V21.0
