Unwise and unnecessary to talk about illegal downloading, remeber various people read these post and threads, including ISP companies; and regulators who can gain access to your IP address; particularly ones in computer and broadband sections.

You certainly do not need to be illegally downloading to go over your limit.

Catching up on TV programmes for example can put you well over your limit, if you do it regularly --3 progrmmes a week have a hefty GB count --thats what Martin was pointing out on GMTV.
my point exactly was just that teamspeak is a comms programeyou know like voip and yes people can track and see where youve been and such but only to an extent to as it is not breaching your privacy its the same as am i allowed to come sit outside your house and look through your window with my legs crossed with cup of coffee in hand!!! your privacy rights are a thing that they have to tread very carefully on that is another legal minefield for these people one step wrong and thats it and also i think that most companys will and most deffinately if thought your have downloaded somwthing illegal will at least give prior warning of you doing such actions and ask you to cease such actions immediatly!!! as i said before they generally go for the big fish who do it for a profit !!! some exceptions to that have been known but generally thats who they seek !!! i was making a pun at maybe if they class p2p technology as downloading pirated software then theymay have to look at what runs on that type of platform around that technology and they will find the internet will be an empty place as they would have to stop the likes of all programes that use such technology messengers and such and a lot of the big and i mean big site that offer driver downloads and updates gaming sites that do patches and such as the way they doit is for the reason of having smaller files on thier servers which frees up the bandwidth of said sites making the sites not so bogged down and slow!!!

Privacy is a lot less than people think and is more vunerable every day--hence the furor over phorm and its " trial " use by BT and others without their customers knowing about it.

Also piracy and !!!!!! investigations by other countries can lead to identification, ending access and even prosecution.

Trawling for investigations goes on and you wont know about it til your prosecuted if you are doing it. Wise not to draw attention.

This happened to customers on one of the big ISp's p**** I think.

on that if they have said you have been downed because they say you been file sharing or such like one member has said they have exclaimed to him i think that him probally will not be put back up till redten decide whether to take him in breach of the contract under the illegal downloading as they put it !!!

If that IS indeed the case then those of us who signed up for unlimited access have a right out of the contract surely as the service provided has materially changed from what we signed upto.

I am sure Clode would be interested in this aspect.

clode only care that an internet connection in itself is there not what it is and how its performing is my guess i would love to know what thier contractual terms with redten over what they have paid for and the wording they have had in thier contracts with them and not the ones held to us !!!

I too questioned this, I seriously doubt it, I think that this will just be a standard option for all new members of NJP, maybe you will be able to cancel the account but not get out of the Finance
