I expect most users are happy to be back on and haven't hit the limit yet. They might not realise that there's a limit yet. When they do they won't be able to get on the net for the next month to find out and they won't be able to get through to Redten either.

That's probably why there's not many users, we are the lucky ones (?) who were able to use alternative internet services in the meantime so have found out about the limit.

NJP have confirmed (to me at least) that the restriction is the same for all customers. Apparently Redten asked for more but got told that they could only have a limited service for the money they were offering. Redten have accepted that so they know we're all limited.

err sorry guys but if they say you been downloading illigel stuff they have to provide proof and they are not allowed to monitor your traffic in such ways its a breach of your privacy !!! the only way they rpove if you been downloading illegal stuff is if the copyright authorities have registerd your ip on such downloading activity Red Ten themselves are not allowed to monitor what your are doing on the network as if they are then no wonder my bank account was once plundered and such well if they pulling that one id check what your rights of privacy are and i bet they are saying something to you thats putting them into a very sticky legal situation and as for file sharing nothing about it is illegal unless you are sharing illegal downloads and even if you are downloading copyright material as long as you own an origanal you can have or download if you have not the knowledge to make such a back up of such material that is our rights under the law you are allowed to back up your material!!! and another thing i for one use p2p for many things and so do lots of legal download sites for all sorts of downloads even down to drivers / software updates / free ,demo games / and updates it is a way that sites can host more on thier sites with traffic staying lower !!. i would ask for the proof of you downloading illegal files and who has reported you ip on what files in specific !!! i bet they cannot produce such evidence unless you have been caught by a company like ciaa or the likes but is highly unlikely as most copyright companys try to chase the bigger fish not the small time downloader thats downloads the odd file or too a lot of people try out software or music as a try before you buy option in a genuine way !!!

what gets me about this new fair usage policy is, why impose a 5gb cap and offer bolt ons (if you know you are going to go over) if you do go over you get restricted to 5kbps (correct me if im wrong but NJP states you will be charged £2 per gb extra Nothing about being restricted?) it would take a long time to rack up a 1gb at this rate.
am i right in saying if we go over the limit we should be charged extra, not restricted?? not that i want to pay extra of course!

i havent been on much apart from keeping an eye on this forum, havent watched torchwood on bbci player or anything! it sucks!

no m8 my father in law has them too and he dont use his for hardly anything hed be happy on a 1gig connection and probally never use that up!!
he hasnt even been sent a letter or nothing either from redten or njp hes sitting there letting it ride out he says they not getting my free pc back ill sit and let them default till the point they have absolutey no excuse for what they are doing he wont contact them he feels thats the job they should do and is quite happy to sit for a month or so he cancelled his direct debit and has heard nothing as of yet from no one !!! he says well if they come crawling to me for money they have not recieved then it will cost them in contacting him!! and see if they can enforce anything in court as he hasnt even been told nothing by no one dont think anyone can give a fight against that !!!

try sending something to me from your redten account about taking legal action against rt. if it gets through we can browse the web for published redten email addresses (i've seen a few) gather them up and contact them with an invite to this forum. that may get our numbers up

The more I read these posts and the lack of response the more annoyed I get. This is totally unacceptable. I cant contact NJP as the contact me panel has disappeared. I cant contact Redten as they dont answer the phone.

Who do I speak to? Ive sent my complaint email with both delivery and read receipts but neither has been received. (LOL as soon as I posted I got a read receipt from Redten... lets see what happens now)

I feel like I am being ignored and that I will go away eventually. How can this be right? How can my only method of communicating with these people be via the courts. Its wrong, plain wrong and I am really angry. No point Clode referring me to Redten (Or even Red 10) when they wont answer phone calls.

What are we supposed to do?

dont bother with the contact me panel in njp they told me themselves its red ten that answers them posts !!! njp made that quite clear to me on phone!!!

ill be gone for about 20 mins going to do what obviuosly is deemed by red ten as illegal downloading im going to talk to some m8`s on teamspeak 2 which is based around p2p technology!!!

Really? I was getting a reply from "Paul" who worked for NJP. He kept referring me to redten - be even more disgruntled if Redten were referring me to Redten?!? :mad: :mad: The farce gets even worse.

Either way - cant use the contact me panel anyway because it isnt there anymore LOL.
