Yet Another interpretation of the Redten Deal.

This one says the computer is taken away by Redten after the 3 year contract anyway

If this is correct, then beware all those migrating broadband but continuing to pay Clode to keep the computer...it may be taken away after the end of the contract anyway? Certainly not what I understood

guys, I pay Clode extra for static IP address, according to redten's website it is 2.99 a month. Just tried to call clode and ask them to reduce my payments as Im not getting the service I paid for but operator said that she is not informed well enough to deal with such query. If anyone there also paying for extra services lets try at least to reduce payments at the moment, we stay within contact and I believe we can cancel such extra services. Operator said that manager Hannah will be in tomorrow after 11 till 7.

So far this new service from NJP appears to be broadband only, and so far it appears to be working OK. E-mail however appears to have died a death and I'm curious if anyone knows anything different? I got a working default e-mail account (with the password as originally provided by RedTen yonks ago) on the day the broadband came back, but after a couple of days this became a black hole into which e-mails disappear and are never seen again, although outbound e-mail is functional. The RedTen management facilities all suggest a 24-hour hiccup (my eye) and so I've set up with Google Mail. Does anyone have any insight/news on the e-mail front?

I suspect BT also managed their email servers and Redten are (maybe) in the process of setting up new servers

Hi Folks,

Have been following since BT Wholesale message appeared and hearing you guys rant of similar issues has helped me keep my sanity during this but thought it was time to join the madness.

While my internet came up on 18th (after being told 3 different dates by the customer service team and then the last admitting that they were as in the dark as we were and that they had no idea that this was going to happen until they were pulled into an emergency meeting Mon 10th to explain the influx in calls) and email on the 19th Email has been back down since the 21st.

I too have recieved no communication from redten other than that I have got from hanging on the phone for an hour and majority of that if not all has been wrong anyway. The 5gb cap is the nail in the coffin as far as I am concerned so I too have dropped an email to Watchdog (although trying to keep my rant to 2000 characters took me the best part of 45mins :rotfl: )

While I do not have the money to either leave or hire a lawyer I believe something will have to crack with this sooner or later. Cheers to all of you for keeping me up to date during this time....This painful situation has brought us all closer together at least.
