just spent 10 mins listening to the garbage music.. got bored.

I intend to cancel my contract with RT to go with a different provider, as I need Broadband urgently, I will continue to pay clode, so although I am going with another provider I intend to keep fighting this.

How do you get of the contract with RT, do you just ask for the MAC and then give that to another provider, or do you have to give them 6 weeks notice as it says in the t's & c's ??

I'm going to email them to request the MAC but I don't want to sign up with another provider if that leaves me liable for breaking the t's and c's and so ruining any arguement I have.

I'd say whilst it's interesting it doesn't really mean anything. If they do get taken over it's just another company in their place to answer the phone, or not!

more like another familly member of thiers !!! seems to be the way they doit!!

Sorry if you've misunderstood Mac0 - I was only trying to help with a bit of advice on what worked for me. I have every intention of staying with this and supporting others who are still stuck with this horrendous situation, being shafted by a bunch of utter cowboys. Power to the People!!!
  • just spoke to john at NPJ

    1. We have not heard that RT are about to be taken over.

    2. We have had email conversations with them today.

    3. They have given no indication they are going to remove the caps.
  • right guys as you can see have been on the case for all our sakes!

How to get ofcom involved if you have been waiting more than 5 working days:

    ring 020 7981 3040
    Press 1
dont press any more options and you will be connected to a human being
tell them the date you requested a mac code
tell them ofcom regulations clearly stipulate that if an isp have not provided a mac code within 5 working days that ofcom will step in
Then ask the operator to escalate the issue with the isp and email Redten to formally request your mac code be given to you immediatley.

    Hi
This would appear to be the original deals when redten kicked up.
Notice the date at the bottom of the page (2006).

I posted a formal complaint to RedTen this morning registered delivery, as well as emailled them, its a 2 page affair so wont bother boring everyone! My question is, should I get Clode involved now and send them a copy of the Complaint?

Also - I have my Clode Agreement signed 3/1/2007 and Description of Goods or Services states "Broadband & PC Package" as well as early settlement figures.

Luck is the 38 ex-dedten customers that got the MAC key from bt, I have tried everthing and cannot get replay by email or phone, I did ask to migrate to O2 (£10 for up16MB and Unlimited) but get stack with my order because of this MAC key ...this is sooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo annoying :mad::mad::mad::mad::mad::mad:
  • Redten imposed the capping not NPJ. Redten are deliberatly seeking to lose customers. Redten got paid by a finance company in full in advance when you signed your clode credit agreements.

They have fallen on hard times and are now seeking to lose customers which cost them broadband fees each month.

    They have succeeded.

Morally what they are doing is totally wrong, and I hope it is illegal too.

I want to see RT directors being interviewed on watchdog.

    NPJ:
    Redten setup the caps
Redten have shown no individation they are going to remove the caps

Why cap? BECAUSE IT SAVES REDTEN MONEY and when you migrate they no longer have to pay NPJ for your broadband service.
