    LOL I disagree.. I think their simply overwhelmed by the sheer volume of calls, voicemails and emails. The fact remains their better off if their existing customers leave. They can then settle the legal actions and relaunch under a new brand name. Or at least thats what they think!

    I have just spoken to ofcom and they are aware of what is going on with Redten and are speaking to them the women did that they can't deal with indivdual complaints when i mentioned that they never awnser the phones or return emails she asked i wait a week or so until it calms down then speak to them.

    To anyone having difficulty obtaining a MAC code, I got mine via MURPHX. Called them on 08700 349 100, explained the problem; they contacted NJP and I got a call from poor Paul (he's been very helpful, and I feel so sorry for the flak the poor bloke must be taking at the moment) with my new code and an email confirming it within a couple of hours. Have now signed up with new provider, and keeping my fingers crossed all migrates smoothly within 5-7 working days.

    On the Redten front, I am sending a registered letter today demanding my £49.99 set-up fee back, (for the 3rd time), and an apology and compensation for passing on my details (breaching Data Protection Act) to NJP without my knowledge or consent, when Redten had cancelled my contract on Feb 8th. Not holding my breath over that one, but writing the letter made me feel better! Wish I lived near London and could come and protest outside their offices with some of you guys - that would give me a bit of satisfaction!

    ofcom regs stipulate you should contact them if the ISP won't release mac code after 5 working days. So anyone who has been waiting 5 working days or more should ring ofcom and request they immediatley order BT wholesale to unblock the line and provide them their mac code. (This is according to the mac request team at BT.)

    I think the sole reason NJP gave you your mac code (as only they and not redten can) is the fact you had a verified canceled contract with redten. NPJ simply can't release MAC codes without a request from redten/verified terminated contract.

    On the 49.99 front..good luck! But i have a feeling their VERY clever terms and conditions give them the implicit right to provide any data/information to the supplier of their choice. I hope I'm wrong!

    just rang them and they said that they are unable to assist with such queries any further, probably you are a lucky one. :cool:

    well its all good you people who can request and get get mac codes to get out but it doesnt help none of us like me who might now be stuck in this all as i for one cannot afford to pay a new server and clode both its beyond my fianancial means im on dissabillity benefits and its very tight for me to exist not alone pay both none of the you can get and im off else where helps me or others unless if it come to anything you all that are migrating or running are prepared to stay around and help with any fight that persue!!! if not redten beat you and you have no care they have !!!
