right i got somewhere with njp this morning
1. they offered to take redten on and it is redten that have imposed the caps on the service they are lieing when they say anything else!!!
2. if you have used the contact forms on the njp members area you are not talking to njp but redten themselves!!! i for one have asked many questions on there and low and behold the answers i have been recieving say i need to take them up with redten themselves well it has been redten answering my questions!!!
3. they still have removed the answered questions on that contact part too so even if you have a reply and have more than 2 tickets raised then you cannot not close the two issues you have as they say or even view the reply or ask another !!!
4. also i had a letter come from clode this morning which strangely enough wasnt even sealed!!! it was a letter about increased charges on cheque and credit card payments but not not direct debit payments made on time!!! the new charge is 1.6% of the payment being made from the 1st of april.
now reading into this a little i thought ok budget time charges comming here but then thought why on direct debit payments have had the wording no charge on any payments made on time i thought thats had a different way of charges all together on late payment via direct debit!!!
well hope this info has been helpfull to you all as for one i feel even more duped now especialy as i thought i was talking to njp on the members area not reten themselves and funny they reply form that almost straight away isnt it!!! and another thing to then tell me to go ask redten as they dont know is realy taking the biscuit they are redten and have been basically trying to pretend otherwise.0 -

hi cant as when i registered at hukd it sent email confirmation and I CANT ACCESS MY EMAIL BECAUSE OF NPJ THROTTLING MY CONNECTION AS I WENT OVER 5GB LIMIT ON DAY 1!!
PS has been mentioned previously but there are a number of FREE legal advisory services if you can't afford / dont want to pay a solicitor e.g. which legal service:

Same here, we spoke to them at the same time though. Wonder what their reaction would be if someone else phoned and said the same, surely they couldn't be suprised again?
You gonna put some of this info on hukd? Don't want things getting deleted from here and if we decide to pursue this further we won't be able to talk about it here whereas we will at hukd.0 -

Hi,
Sorry, didn't realise that people would have trouble registering. Maybe you could set up another e-mail address to the purposes of signing up or use a work one? Not sure to be honest, ironically the people that need to complain are the ones who can't because of these limits!!!!0 -

Jesus how shady is that? If that is true, ie if when we send an message via the our "member area" on the njp services server it is in fact answered by redten and that they are then saying contact redten...
it beggars belief.
I hope everyone is ringing ofcom, and complaing to watchdog.
more than ever we need (even if we migrate) to NOT give up hammering these guys i.e. redten and clode.
If the caps aren't gone within the next few days then we all need to consider our next possibly joint move.0 -

Either way, it's irrelevant.
Redten have agreed with NJP for a 5GB limit (according to NJP, redten still say it's unlimited). Doesn't matter who's restricting it, the fact is it's an intentional restriction.0 -
Right
REDTEN WANT YOU TO LEAVE:
1. I believe Redten's capping is a deliberate attempt to lose broadband customers so they no longer have to pay broadand bills for them (as they got paid up front when you signed your credit agreement). They figure those that sue can be settled at a lower cost than their current broadband bill.
2. Their strategy has worked - many have left. Those that sue..it will cost RT less to settle those claims than their current broadband bill!
3. Their not getting away with this. Any publicity must specifically target the current directors of redten, its shareholders and the MD of Clode retail finance. I think adverse publicity (especially with Clode) will see us all being liberated from these shady business practices. Clode is panicking and IF any campaign is launched - we cannot discuss this in this forum - then i believe it must include a substantial SUSTAINED PR attack based on hard evidence fronted and managed by proffesional legal and PR organisations.
