firstclassidiot, what's mgb?0
-
Well done firstclass idiot - I'm right behind you, and with your permission, will copy and send the same emails/hard-copies. Just who do this bunch of cowboys think they are? (by the way, does anyone have an email address for Clode?).
Since getting back on line on Wednesday, my bandwidth usage has risen to 5.55Gb, made up of 2.41 Gb download and 3.14Gb upload - none of this during the Redten peak period of 6pm to 11pm.
I now find, as of tonight, that when I run the 'Myspeed' test, I am achieving a download speed of 3.26kbps, and an upload speed 0f 10.3kbps. This is worse than being on dial-up with a 14.4kbps modem. What a joke. If it wasn't so unbelievably frustrating, it would be funny. Loading my 'NJP Services Members Area (aren't we lucky) takes so long on broadband, I've had to resort to dial-up to find out what my current usage is!).
My Credit Agreement with Clode tells me that the 'Goods or Services' I am paying for are a 'Broadband & PC package'. A visit to the Redten website makes it quite clear that the Broadband is unlimited, with only a 'Fair-use policy' applying between 6pm and 11pm. How on earth can Clode claim to not be equally liable for the service we are being provided with (or as it quite clearly turns out to be, NOT being provided with).
I'm certainly up for any joint action, if that is considered the best way forwards.
I'm sure I speak for all of us - all we really want is the service we signed up for. Give us that and we'll all go away and be happy. But mess us around as you are doing - and this means all of you - Redten/Clode/NJP/Fast4 or whatever you cowboys call yourselves - and we're not going to just take it lying down. We just need a REDten user who's also a lawyer - anybody out there?0 -

megabits???
You're surely the one person that uses that abbreviation, couldn't find anything on google. Isn't is Mbps?
Megabits on it's own doesn't mean anything in this context, megabits per second is what you need.0 -
one thing i forgot to say is well redten are still taking orders and as such are falsely advertising too are they not?? and i mean false as in what they are still advertising this is copy pasted from site
Sign up to our Desktop PC Package and we’ll not only connect you up to super-fast 8Mb* broadband with unlimited** internet downloads, but we’ll also throw in an Intel Pentium 4 desktop PC with a 19” widescreen monitor, as well as a host of extras to get you started. We’ll even configure the PC so it arrives ready to connect to the internet and cover it with a comprehensive 3-year warranty and 365-day telephone technical support
another thing did any one who origanally sign up ever get the vista upgrade voucher?? i for one did not
or as in my case i cant restore my pc now as it wants the origanal disks i only ever had disk too of the restore disks never got disk 1 and asked for it over a year ago so my pc is very quirky because of this !!
also never got uk keybaord either still got us one!! no replacement ever sent!
and ive never been offered free software each month either all that was on offer was some free (for the price of shipping and handling charge) a couple of rubbish titles that no would want to pay for when you can get em pennys at car bootys or the likes!!!
ohh i forgot they did do an upgrade to vista for the price of shipping and handling at around 25 pound i think it was but it was a digital download!!! cant see how a charge could be incurred in that!!!
well for one that list alone says for me personally i havent recieved the goods as stated let alone the internet fiasco lol.
now am i right they should be kicked in the butt by fair trading people for false advertising as they are right now thats enough to cease them trading i would have thought ?0 -
Andy_man99, yes you can though will look beter if you alter the words slightly. If you wish I will post the full letters for anyone who might want some indication of what others have written. I sent the letters to Mr Shiraz Jessa, Chief Executive of redten group, and the MD of Clode.
Contact for clode I have is .....
Beata Monczkowski | Assistant Manager Customer Services
Clode Retail Finance Ltd. | 0844 844 4700
(direct) 0844 826 2931 | (fax) 0844 844 2500
beata.monczkowski@cloderetailfinance.com | www.cloderetailfinance.com
She responded to my original complaint when the service went down all together on the 10.3.2008.
If you look at your original Clode terms and conditions you will see that they point out they are jointly responsible and that you may be able to sue them both if the goods or services are not provided as described or ordered.0 -
ohh and one last thing on previous post wouldnt that make clode funding an aiding and abetting partner to such false things too which makes them as liable?0
