Hi all
I have been keeping a close eye on this forum since 11/3/08. Have found the information exchange very useful, so keep it coming.
Been a Redten customer since December 06. I have kept all the paperwork from Clode and RT. Trawled through all the fine print last night and couldn't find the word "Unlimited" monthly usage anywhere.
Am I missing some of the original paperwork?0 -
Has anybody figured out how to access your email. Outlook isn't downloading anything, even though I know people are sending me mail. Configuration is good as mail was coming through up to midnight Thursday.0

Is there anyone else out there that is still not connected and cannot get in touch with Redten to resolve. I have already spent £'ss ringing and not once got through.
I have really got no option but to sign up to another provider. Surely that must be enough reason to be able to refuse payment for a service that isn't being provided.
Me, Incredibledisc and Norf.
Personally don't think you'd be able to cancel based on the fact that you currently don't have service and you can't get through on the phone. The people you would be ceasing to pay would by Clode and you can talk to them today on the phone if you wish, takes about 1 minute to get through. Phone number is on this thread every few pages, just do a search for v12finance.com , choose option 5 on the phone.0 -
Welcome march Rabbit, not sure if you're missing any paperwork as such but all their advertising (which we have screen prints of) and also their site at the moment say that the service is unlimited. So I wouldn't worry about not having something that says it's unlimited.0

Regarding the email probs, I found that only the default email will work. All other email addresses created apear to be lost. If you log into the njp members section and click on email you can recreate the old accounts. Settings are the same as before.

I have spoken to Clode finance almost every day, however all they offer is sympathy and tell me they are in contact with the Redten directors. They say that customers are starting to be connected....day after day after day......at premium call rate.
At least as you say, they do answer their phones reasonably quickly, unlike Redten.
They are all making a packet out of this. Much more lucrative than providing what was purchased.
I have had no communication at all from Redten (or NJP/Fast4).
At the very least I would expect written information on what is happening and how to proceed, before cut off. It is not acceptable that I have to chase them for a problem they have created, and spend a lot of money I don't have doing it. Maybe some people have all day to spend on hold while the phone bill racks up.
The first I knew of any of this was when I returned home to find the BT cesation of service page.
I have no further avenues to follow.
All I request from Redten is resumption of the service I am paying for. Simple. Anything less is quite simply failure to supply.
Clode have / should have an interest in keeping their customers happy too and exerting a little pressure is surely not too much to ask.
The response from Redten (ie none) cannot even remotely be justified. Suppose people have other issues needing resolution, they just cannot provide any acceptable level of support, this in itself is not fulfilling their obligation.
The only reason I have access at the moment is because I am at a friends house, it is the first internet access I have had since the account went dead.0 -
Don't think anyone's making much out of the phone calls to be honest. Maybe Redten are making a few pence because of the long waiting times but Clode would make just a couple of pence per minute. I'd rather not have the couple of pence a minute than have someone like me phoning them up and shouting at them!0

I sent this message to Redten, I don't hold out any hope of a response, but hey, I thought I'd let you know anyway, if I get a response I'll let you know.
Hello
I am suffering from a seriously degraded service since my account was migrated to NJP. For the past 3 days I have not been able to get download speeds of more than 5kb.
I have done some testing at my end and discovered that download has been restricted to 5kb because I've gone over 5GB of downloads.
I am paying for an unlimited service, NOT 5GB capped.
This restriction is causing me major problems and unless it is resolved today (22/03/08) and the restriction is removed then I will be lodging an offical complaint with OFCOM, I will be contacting Watchdog (as I know many other people have done), and I will be seeking legal advice as you are in breach of the Terms and Conditions by providing a degraded service with no prior notice to myself, your customer.
I expect a response with a resolution to this problem this afternoon.
Yours, a very disgruntled customer.0 -
has anyone tried to contat RT today? just wondering if they are working today or not!0
