Was I dreaming, or was there a "Fair Usage" monitor on the NJP MY ACCOUNT?

I could have sworn I clicked on it yesterday and saw a big green light, saying I was a good boy....now it seems to have disappeared

I clicked the obtain Mac on the BT holding page as it appeared to be the only option. I never got to see the email from Redten as the connection had gone by the time I logged on.

I now have no connection and this seems impossible to resolve.

I have called Redten every day since the connection went down but have not once managed to get though despite holding for around 50 minutes every time listening to music.

I have also called Clode several times but only get simpathy and told they don't really know whats going on either apart from some people are getting re connected.

Today is the first time I have managed to get on line at a friends house.....and seen the cost of my calls trying to get in touch with Redten, 50 minutes adds up to £2.16 for each call, Redten are making a packet out of not answering the phone.

I have no idea what the consequences of transferring to another provider are but since it would appear almost impossible to get in touch what option is there?

Paying the Clode contract and another provider is not an option, surely it is in Clode finances interest to exert some leverage on Redten.

Had Redten properly advised people, at least some of the grief could have been avoided.

Are there any legal eagles watching this thread with advice on a path to follow for resolution?

I have already sent a letter to Clode stating my reasons for cancelling the agreement, if I get an answer I'll post it here.

The reasons are that I have made every effort to contact RT but have received no communications from them, (I didn't get a letter from NJP) so technically I am unaware of what is going on.

I am also up for any group action & a firend of mine who is still waiting to be connected by Sky would also be "in" on any group legal process.

Also, how does the contract breach now stand based on the following two invitations to treat that no longer exist?

    1) No 3 year hardware warranty anymore?
    2) No new pc at the end of the term if you stay with them?

    thanks

We don't know that for sure at this stage.

I have written to Redten's registered business address lodging an official complaint and asking for an explanation for the loss of connection and degradation of service. Also requested a copy of my contract terms and conditions. Will post tomorrow registered post. Don't hold your breath but if I get a response, you will be the first to know what it states.

    1) Wasn't aware that we now had no warranty? Where did that info come from?

    2) Don't think that makes any difference, it was only an option to start a new contract and get another pc, we don't know that's not going to happen yet as it's 18 months away. Even if things don't work out they could offer it for £100 a month knowing that no-one would take it. Then they've offered it and we've refused. Don't remember anywhere saying what terms the new pc would be on?
