Not trying to be rude, sorry if I came across that way.
Just had never heard of that abbreviation.0 -
My account was cancelled by Clode a few days ago because Redten can't complete my order Clode have also told me that Redten will not be allowed to take any money from my account for the cost of the PC which is not what it says on the Redten T&C by them saying that i thought that it was them not Redten who deal with the money so i asked for a refund of the £49.99 and Clode have told me that i would need to speak to Redten.
I have to say i am completely confused now as the information i am getting is so inconsistent.
I have no idea what to do with the pc they sent whether to keep it and say nothing or ask them to come and pick it up and forget about the £49.99.
I have asked them for a MAC as 5gb a month is no use and the speed has now dropped to just over 2mb which is poor.0 -
no offence taken and no apology necessary, we're all in this together.

i just thought of another thing that scott from redten said to me the otherday when i did get to speak to them was i exclaimed that i had bought more meory and a graphics card for the computer and he said if youve upgraded you have voided the warranty but i looked at it and its just states that any upgrades made are not subject to the warranty !! when i had a drop of service with them last year for near on two months i did a lot of talk and stuff with tariq who eventually got it all sorted i asked him at the time i bought the bits if i can upgrade and he said they didnt stop anyone doing so and it would be perfectly fine to do so so is this another thing i / anyone else has to watch out for if they have done the same if it came down to redten or clode which ever making a bid to reclaim the equipment?? any one know how i / we stand on that one too!!!0

the law states you should act reasonably and fairly.
You are only entitled to the free pc if you took out the 3 year contract for broadband services.
If you receive any goods which you have not orderd or were not enitled to, you are obliged to inform the sender and you must give them access, at your convenience, for them to uplift it. They have then 30 days to uplift it from when you tell them to uplift it. If they fail to uplift it within the 30 days, following an agreed time to uplift, then it is yours.0 -
well just look at what they did to all the old saverstore customers theres so many of them that got shafted too ranging back years now come on i think its about time these shadies were put behind bars not alone let us have another isp and keep the free pc`s we were offered with the connection !!! wish i had screen shotted the web site when i first jumped on it in 2006
id have em by the balls as it did clearly state connection with free pc damn !!!
i say lets find some legal beagle and let em trace these people through all thier company dealings and how they have run em all will be a biggish task but for someone with the know how would be childs play then how would they look in court then !!! maybe someone could get someone from cab or trading standards who is good to do a cracking job on em im shure the past will reflect bad on them not us will only help in our cause and would in my eyes sway a judge to rid the uk of such rip off`s !!! what i read makes them look like super criminals from what they have can i use the words `unlawfully accuired` from people0 -
thanks for the very helpful info, its hard to keep track of this bunch.
I sent my letter to Shariz Jessa as Chief Executive of the Redten / Watford group. They may not be the same company but he is the head of the family owned business group. I fully expect Redten Communications Limited to be wound up and replaced by one of the other 10. I think they may have applied for a strick off in London, maybe thats why address changed back to London.0 -
