0871 calls cost 35p a minute on my tariff. I think they're very unlikely to be from included minutes on any contract at all.

Just tried the 3 SimplyFone numbers tonight and no joy just got a message saying there was a problem routing the call...wonder if all the mobile co's are onto these numbers now and blocking them?

Yes thanks andy...maybe the number I was calling (romania mobile) is limited to certain hours of the day..just tried to check on their website but it's down for maintenace..so not sure. Just found another service offering the same sort of thing called First Number. Anyone tried them yet?

have you rung there before? I notice Romania Mobile is not on the S-F website list

just looking briefly at the other; I was about to think it was an S-F affiliate, but in fact the number is from a slightly different range 07744 939... instead of 07744 974... but it looks similar.

Actually I haven't rang that Romania number before...but I have seen Romania Mobile listed under the Directory now...with a 0911 access number(I didn't use that access no btw...just tried the 07744's...). Can't find any reference to the 07744 numbers now on SF as the website seems to have changed a lot since I first went there.

Their Simply-Fone 'site says ROMANIA is available at any time but Romania Mobile is not included.

I used that firstnumber company but the quality was incomparable to s-f. Couldn't connect to Asia or Belguium when I tried...
I found the best numbere was 07744 974 363

I made a 15 minute call to China on my O2 contract and paid nothing! Thanks for the excellent advice. :beer: You've saved me a small fortune. I have a friend in Mexico too so this is gonna come in very handy indeed.

I have just failed to get through to a mobile in Poland using both simplyfone numbers but then managed to get through to an irish landline successfully. Maybe some countries are being discontinued from the service???
