Sky offer to me (existing Customer)

Finally got OH to call and we have half price for 6 months and free sky plus box upgrade. Don't know if we're then tied in but we're happy with that!

I've just had my HD box changed due to it (an Amstrad DRX780) not being compatible with anytime+ - had to complain to the top though.

However, did also receive an email from Sky last Friday offering me the movies for half price (£8) for 3 months, which I took up.

Didn't work for me:(
No offer when cancelling the sports so it's not for "all customers".
Oh well saving £28 p/m by not having sports /movies and hd anyway.

Just rung Sky, got £15 a month off Sky sports for 3 months and 2 months free ESPN! Thanks very much.

Basic package. Cutting down outgoings, I said. Half price offered today for next 6 months. Accepted.

Thanks for all the helpful advice here.

I called today and mused about cancelling. I also added in that I didn't feel that we didn't feel that we were getting good value and that we weren't convinced of the value of an extra tenner for HD.

I was offered either six months at half price or a free upgrade to HD with £100 credit, I took the six months at half price. She also mentioned that I should call back in December when the offer expired and "see what other offers they had on then".
