I got my package half priced for 6/12 but still full price on HD. Still a good saving though.

We did have a bit of a barney over it though- he was insistent I couldn't get cheaper elsewhere, I told him about Virgin etc and he wouldn't believe me. I really didn't like his atitude to be honest. I made my point though- have been with them for 10 years, full package and HD and never had any retention deals offered to me. Even had to pay for HD box as it was before they were offered for free. If I'd waited- would have got it free and got the M&S vouchers they offered.
  • just rang sky as my contract is ending this month. said i wanted to cancel as my maternity leave had just finished & were trying to cut down on our outgoings.

she offered us half price tv for 6 months. our bill is currently £49 a month for broardband, and our tv package but with the offer will be £37 something a month, so around £10 saving each month

she said this is the only offer they can give me, and to have a think about it and call back.

if i call back & say its not enough am i likely to get a phone call with a better offer or should i just accept this one?
i know alot of people at the begining of this post had received really good offers, but they dont seem to be offering much anymore :(
    **Waiting for a BIG win!**

    Thank you all posters!

I was meant to have my OH's sky cancelled from the 3rd but they rang up the week before and offered half price for 6 months, no tie-in, and a £50 credit on the bill! Well worth it!
  • sweet! ill give that go, our bills for sky are rediculous. We just enabled anytime+ the other day..... not very impressed tbh.

:jOMG I never thought it would work for me, I'm only on the basic package £20.50.
I just rang up and said I wanted to cancel because I had to cut back. Was asked if I'd consider staying if the cost of my package was reviewed. I said it depended on price, I was offered my package for half price for 6 months.
Absolutely brilliant - thank you to all those who have posted, would never have tried this without reading your posts.

I am on the the basic package and used to pay £23 a month, i had it half price for 6 months and then phoned again and got it half price for another 6 months. I phoned again and was told they couldn't do that again, so i proceeded to cancel and got a call a few weeks later offering me another 12 months half price with no tie in. Don't think i could go back to paying full price lol, i don't watch a lot of Sky, just a few hours in the evening.
  • Has anyone got a phone number for me to ring them on to save me trawling through this thread?

    TIA
