Sky offer to me (existing Customer)

I've just tried to go through Quidco to upgrade to Sky HD to get the £90 cashback and have hit a brick wall with the Sky website.

I signed in selected the option to upgrade with self install for a £15 fee plus £10.25 a month. This then took me to another screen where it would only let me select engineer install for £60. There seemed to be no way to put the upgrade plus self install into the basket in order to checkout. Useless website :mad:

Has anybody had any luck upgrading through the website?

I thought I would also give them a call to see if they could give me a deal to upgrade over the phone. The call centre guy told me £10.25 a month plus £15 self install of the box. When I mentioned Freesat HD he went away to see if there were any deals available on my account but all he could do was a free engineer install but still £10.25 a month.

Looks like I will be making do with standard definition for now.

Bear in mind we are just coming to the end of our 1st year back with Sky on a brilliant package of Sky World full package with sports and films and HD for £35-00 per month (£25/mth discount) I wasn't sure we'd get much of an offer (if any). But no, half price for another 6 months with no tie in and asked to ring up in 6 months time to see if we can get another offer! Well chuffed!

i really did have to cancel sky last month as i have moved and cannot have a dish on my new building.

my family are keeping the sky box though and buying a freesat viewing card from sky for £25

I have sky HD and multiroom paying £71.50 per month.

Ive just got £10.20 off per month for 6 months, I'm pretty chuffed with that.

I tried to get money off with sky paying £80 a month saying it was too expensive they were more interested in losing my custom than keeping me as a customer.

I am fairly genuinely looking to cut back, and this thread has put it in my head to call Sky. They called me afew weeks ago to offer me a free HD box and half price HD for some months, but when I told the guy I don't have a HDTV he couldn't get off the phone quickly enough! I'll try the "can't afford it" line and see what happens. I don't have sports at the minute, but would like it for half price!

Those wanting to cut back a little keep trying sky CS, we left sky around 2 years ago to go back to virgin media and yesterday had a phone call from sky offering us a free HD+ box plus any tv package half price for 12 months. If they can afford to offer this to new/returning customers they can certainly afford to offer it to those few threatening to leave and go to virgin media etc, a little bit of haggling gets you quite some distance sometimes so it's worth a try!

I called sky a few weeks ago, I told the guy I was upset as I'd tried to lower my bill last summer as I lost my job and the advisor at the time stated I was in a contract and that was that!

This guy was mortified and I told him I had just left BT and also needed to change from o2 BB and I'd already signed up with sky for whole lot.

Heres what he gave me:

25%off entire bill for 12 months
Half price HD
Half price multi room
Six months free line rental
Six months free BB
Half price Movie Channel

That has taken a £78 a month bill down too £38.03 a month! Very pleased I am.
