I've just had the 6 months half price offer extended for another 6 months after ringing to cancel saying I couldn't afford it.

I get all channels and movies, (no sports), and multiroom for just under £30 a month, when the 6 months are up I will ring to cancel again, if I don't get the offer extended then I will actually cancel!

In the past when I've got through to a woman I've got no joy but get through to a bloke and I always get a good deal, one's said how much he loves my accent so maybe that's what it is! :rotfl:
If you're going to stalk me, while you're at it can you cut the grass, feed the dog & make sure I've got bread & milk in :D

Thanks - No I'm up totally up for cancelling. We only seem to watch one channel. Shame to lose those things we've sky+ed but I guess they'll still be on there if it's ever reinstated.

When ringing up try not even mentioning money's tight, just say that your considering leaving sky and have been looking at Virgin, quote some prices. http://shop.virginmedia.com/build-your-bundle Thats what I did, I told the women the truth; that I would prefer to stay with sky and i'm happy with their service but Virgin is cheaper. I have Sky+Spots, broadband and sky talk and I was speaking to someone in cancellations. I got 50% off for 6 months

trying to keep up with the threads, but are there any half price deals at the moment, we actually want sky full package with HD and 3d but refuse to pay full price, we already have a dish with twin cabling. last time we rung they offered a free hd box (everyone gets one) and £10 one off discount...

    needless to say be declined

** by refuse we mean we will not sign up at full price rather go without and stick to free sat and free view

My 12 months half price + free HD was coming to end so rang to cancel and after 30minutes haggling i got half price for another 6 months but no free HD pack.

Cant complain a year and halfs of sky for half price. Gonna do the same in 6 months, i'll never pay full price for it its not worth it.

Hang on in there! We cancelled, then within 2 weeks of being cut off, recieved a letter offering half price any package for 12 months AND £50 in marks & spencers vouchers. Good things come to he who waits!!!

we were switched off at the end of the month, strange thought i would really miss it but we are just using free sat, its all good, we never had everything anyway but were paying £43 a month with sky. I wont go back now, well maybe in the winter when the nights draw in but i think they kind of made our mind up, freesats alright..

I always thought it might be better to upgrade to the full package and then a month later say you cant afford it and they see you werent on a low level package and you get it all cheaper, seems to me that the lower levels (still £43.00 inc HD and a multiroom sub isnt high in there books)
Listen to what people say, but watch what people what people do!!

    well what a !!!! up
I cancelled my sky account which will end on the 15/03.
When i tried to sign up to a new phone company they said there is a tag on my line and that I would have to wait until the line became dead
so I rang sky who said that I am now pass the point of no return and my phone line will be cut off from the 15/03 . If I wished to stay with Sky I would have to phone on or after the 15/03 and it could take up till 3 weeks befor I am reconected
    So no phone or broadband

Well surely the line becomes dead on the 15th, so you can activate the new supplier on the 15th
