I have finally moved to Virgin, Now have Virgin phone, broardband and full TV package (including sports Movies and HD), total saving in year one will be £732. Fitted today very neatly by a nice chap who used my existing cable so no drilling etc.
Two minor issues there is no RF out or in on the V+ box so need to spend £30 ish on a scart to RF converter to watch this in another room. Think I need a different Magic eye for the other room as well but not sure so will try the old one first.
Navigating through the channels is not as intuative as Sky (but then I have been using Sky for over 15 years lol)0 -
Anyone have any advice for me? I am out of contract, I pay £43 ish per month (from memory) for the sports and normal package. I aam moving house in a month.
What could I expect from Sky? I am presuming that there is no point trying to threaten to cancel to bring my bill down, as I do not want to risk being put on a new contract. What will the costs be in moving house and re-setting Sky up? Should I use their home move deal that is mentioned on the web site or should I cancel my contract and start again as a new customer (maybe in hubbys name) and see what they will offer me?
Anyone moved house recently and had a good deal?2011: £10 Sports Direct Voucher, Peppa Pig Wii Game, Trivial Pursuit Card Game, £100 Chat magazine win, Dance workout dvd, Grease wii game,0 -

Well thanks to this thread and, yes, i have thanked the person who started this! We phoned about a month ago to see what offer we could get as we wanted to get phone and broadband added on. After speaking to a nice lassie she offered us normal package £20, upgraded to sky + hd for an extra £5 p/m (for6mth) and multiroom using our old sky+ box for £5p/m (for 6mth) and a £30 HD connection fee then phone and broadband for £40 p/m. she said she would phone next night to set it up?(not sure why). well she didn't phone so 2 weeks ago we phoned cancellations and told them about the shoddy service and we were leaving. Wot a really nice man we had! Gave us an upgrade to sky + Hd at no cost and free for 6mths, multiroom free for 6 mths, NO installation fee, phone, broadband and usual package all for £48 p/m and was installed 5 days later!! so once a gain a huge thanks !0

Hello all,
An old method used to be to write an email to Sir Murdoch and the email would be passed to The Executive Team. The email for Mr Murdoch is no longer in use.
The team that deal with complaints / requests / upgrades (offer deals over and above other teams inc Retentions) is the Executive Team and their email address is 'ExecCustEnq@bskyb.com'
Over the years I have had some very good deals. For example last year I had a free Sky HD box inc Installation, Free HD Subs, Half Price TV for 6 months (though extended after 6 months), free telephone line rental for a year, etc
I am coming to the end of my contract again and have been told once sky reached the 10 million customer mark, most of the deals were removed and the only ones available now available are: - 6 month half price TV package, or 25% over 12 months. They stated there haven't really been any other deals since before Xmas'10. The Executive Team claim there are no deals on telephone and broadband anymore, even after I requested my MAC code.
Please post any success you have. Should be easy enough to get a HD box, as they are supplied as standard now.
Good luck!
