The 6 month offer did not involve a new contract, and possibly allowed a new negotiation in 6 months time rather than in 12.3.995kWP SSW facing. Commissioned 7 July 2011. 24 degree pitch + Solar Immersion installed May 2013, after two Solar Immersion lasting just over the guarantee period replaced with Solic 200... no problems since0 -

Thank you for that information. I find that interesting. maybe too much advertisment of their 'generosity' has meant a flood of calls... therefore they needed to change their policies to lock in the customers? We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy! Mortgage Free Wannabe :dance:Overpayments Made: £5400 - Interest Saved: £11,550 - Months Saved: 240 -
If it was a 6 month offer they had on why did they refuse some people???0

Our sky+ box is faulty. They quoted me £60 for an engineer to visit, as its over 4 years old asked them for any offers to upgrade. They offered me HD for £15 delivery and set up ourselves and £10.25 a month. Is this a good deal, or should I hold out for something better.0

I got a half price for 12 months offer letter so signed up again but this time didn't opt for the HD channels. Now the Sky Anytime service is poulated with around 80% HD progs that we can't watch and the other 20% is kids stuff we don't want to watch.
Has anyone else found this unbalance too? They tout Anytime as a service for all but I'm just not seeing it that way tbh.Herman - MP for all!0 -

I still think you could get free delivery and installation. What's the £10.25 per month your usual viewing or extra for the HD?
I got (just before Martin put it on the email and told the world and his wife which obivously stopped the better deals) half price telly for 6 months, new HD box free installation and half price HD subs for 6 months.
I'm not sure what the best current deals are but going back a few pages should tell you. I think you could ring back and hold out for more, def. free installation.
Happy moneysaving all.0 -
Thank you for all your replies, the £10.25 is extra for the Hd.
is it easy to fit the boc yourself.??0 -

edit to add: power cable is the same so no need to re thread new cable, obviously the scart cable is now redundant as you will be using HDMI.0 -
I had my darling 19 month old nephew and teen niece visit today with their mum and my mum and since they left at 7.30 pm I have been searching everywhere for my Sky+ remote. Neither of them have it and I have also had my neighbour helping me search for ir. I have been watching this thread and wondered wether to tell Sky its lost, but I know I won't get a free replacement as I don't have their extended warranty thingy. I have looked at the price at Argos and Tesco and the Sky+ remote is more than I thought it would be, plus reviews mention they don't function as well as the ones from Sky directly. I don't know wether to use this to threaten to cancel and get a better deal (too cheeky for just a remote replacement) tho sky + box plays up now and then but my tv does not have freeview and am way too indecisive to choose a new tv lol!!0
