  • I gave in yesterday and rang to cancel my cancellation, they still didn't offer me anything on my £39.50 per month, but I managed to get a HD box free being fitted next week, with 6 months 1/2 price HD. Which Is a crap deal I know before you shout at me but I wanted HD, but i didn't want to pay £10 a month for it. I'm not going to look at this thread ever ever again or i'm going to be mad with myself.

im just coming up to the end of my half price for 12 months full mix/movies/sport hd package. 2 weeks to go till 30 day notice to be given. i rarely watch Hd never record Hd it takes twice the disc space. and if i dont get another 6 months half price they can have my cancelation with pleasure. will go back to my freeview for the summer.

You did ok, you'll love HD if you've got a HD telly, stuff like deadliest catch, any travel stuff, music concerts - you'll be blown away - well worth it.

Buy a cheap secondhand box off ebay for less than £20 especially if you find one locally :money:. If you have a hole or can drill one in the wall to the room you want the other box in its easy enough to set up yourself and save £45, cost about £15 for quad LNB and a length of coax cable.

forgive me for being a bit dumb but do you have to have a second card to put in the box that your installing in the room of your choice or does it just work on it's own without one , and is that all there is to it ?.

Yes you need a 2nd card for multiroom it will also cost you either £10 a month if you have any premium channels or £5 a month if you don't

Do you have a link regarding the £5 rate?

I can only find this on the Sky site:
Sky Multiroom: £10.25 pm. Provides the same Sky TV channels as your main Sky TV subscription on a box in another room. You must subscribe to Sky TV throughout and an extra box is required for each Multiroom subscription. Each box you have must be connected to the same fixed telephone line at all times. To receive your HD subscription channels in another room, you'll need another Sky+HD box and HD Pack subscription.

I posted earlier, i got sky hd box with free installation for multiroom adding £10 per month on my bill. Said they would move my sky+ into daughters room and fit the hd in livingroom , no hd package though. Still happy with free installtion :)
I went through to cancellations and just asked what they could offer me , didn't threaten to cancel.
would love to win an ipad!
