Must be because today they announced record 26% increase in profits to the city thanks to HD sales.

I just rang and managed to get 20% off for 6 months. Better than nothing I suppose

just rang up for my mum and got her bill down from £89 to £44

she got rid of movies and sport plus one multi room (she has 2) and managed to get 1/2 hd for 6 months, 1/2 multi-room and have extended the phone-line/broadband unlimited offer for 6 months

I rang last week and got 50% off for 6 months. The guy said they can only process 1 offer at a time so to call back the following week. Rang just now. Got offered free installation and £29 for a new sky+ HD box. NO monthly sub and I still get to keep my previous offer of 50% off for 6 months. Was also offered a free HD box, free installation and free HD sub for 6 months, then pay the extra £10.25 for 6 months thereafter., but decided not to go fr it as you still get all the free to air HD channels without the sky monthy sub. Have signed up for a new 12 month contract. You must go through to cancellations though - not the initial call centre.

I rang yesterday lunchtime and managed to get the half price for 6 months deal, which will save me £25 a month. I said I was deciding whether to cancel and go with Virgin or not, the bloke asked me if I was going to cancel and I said I wasn't sure and wanted him to convince me not to! I also wanted an HD box but they wouldn't give me an offer for that, other than getting it free if I took out a subscription. Thought about it and realised I'd still be spending less overall over the next 12 months, so the way I'm looking at it, I'm effectively getting the box and an HD sub for free as the half price thing covers the cost of the HD. So I'm happy enough with that for now.
