We pay £60 per month. I am now on the phone to threaten to leave..again. i have bottled and just cancelled the movies and sports. This is the 3rd effort of trying to get something from them I have not got a thing ever. What time are you calling up?
Maybe it is just some people's accounts?0 -

Me too.... I never get anywhere with them...sooooooo frustrating !0 -
Just got off the phone and the first thing he did was put me on hold (I was thinking yippeee I am going to get something) then he came back on and said ok so you want to cancel let me process it!! how annoying so I just said well I will cancel down to the minimum.
I did get a HD box the first time I rang last week but it cost me £40 and will trap me in a 12 month contract so I am in the cooling off period and wondering if to cancel. (what a cr@ap deal)
I am so tempted to cancel it out and send the box back to them but I do like my Sky. I am reading other peoples posts and thinking I am getting ripped off.
Wonder what the deal is with BT vision. I am tempted to cancel it and see what happens.
If you cancel it can you go back to them and get new equipment etc?0 -
I think the boat is sailing on this one to be honest..... they probably have had people read this forum, amongst others, and are just going to let people "threaten" and see what happens if they don't offer a deal!
Something will have alerted them in their system that so many people are getting 1/2 price now, that's a lot of loss of profit!0 -

Yes very true, but my grievence (sp) is there is no ryme or reason to these deals i've been with sky 15 years paying over £40 a month for many of them, I paid for my first + box and then they replaced it just after the 1 years warrantee was out, because it kept freezing, after I made a fuss, this is the only thing i have every got from them, some people getting deals are just coming off their first years contract with them, Sky seem to have no customer loyalty to long term customers. If they don't ring me or send me a deal I will ring up and cancel my cancellation !! I would miss my planner too much, but saying that most of it is now available on freeview i would miss Sky1, FX and living more than anything.0 -

Hi janiePH
Try ringing again. (or wait for a while if you can like Jarr suggested,we couldn't as box dying!))
I cancelled (as rubbish offer given)and waited a few days, and rang back and have got a new box coming (£15 posted out for self connecting) and half price for 6 mths, but am tied in for 12 mths (the not so good bit!).
we have been with them 9 yrs (ish)0 -

Just out of interest, how did you explain cancelling and then ringing back? im not sure that would work for me as it would seem like i was groveling and they hold all the cards! (which actually they do for me!) :rotfl:0 -
Rang for the second time last night and was told as i had Sky HD last Feb on a self install deal that they could not offer me anything because i already have this deal running and to ring back in Feb.0
